Prayer is a deluded belief that god is listening to you and even talking to you. By APA standards, delusions are a symptom of psychiatric illness. And what is the point of asking god to "bless" things or do things for you? If god is fair then such requests are irrelevant. Prayer is a trick meant to reinforce indoctrination so that you stay in church and keep sending your clergymen money. You perpetuate lies and endanger civilization with religious paranoia.
