Simmilar does not equal same. Wolf is every bit as original Bowser, Olimar, or any other non clone character. Falco being a clone in Melee proves nothing. We are talking about Brawl, so why does his Melee status have any baring now?
Well obviously thier B moves and final smashes are definately the same by a 100% and despite that Wolf's tank is red and black, that still doesn't make a difference!! B moves and F-smash count most!? Are you kidding? 5 moves contribute the most to an overal moveset of, what, 25 or so moves? The B moves and Final Smash are what th n00bs notice as the bulk of the moveset. And furthermore, Wolf and Fox do not have 100% equal B moves. Wolf's lazer has the close range attack part, his reflector does not slow decent, B side has an upward angle, and varying knockback depending on distance,and B^ has an attack at the end, and stops horizontal momentum.
I'll give you Megaman. He'd have been cool, and I wouldn't have minded Krystal either (I'd have prefered her over falco to be honest) I was jst in the mood to debate when you called them clones. Perhaps I took things a bit too far . . .

if you people want a Krystal in brawl so bad, why not make one? Just get a model set up, set the coding for her moves and basic physics reactions. You could even use another character's source code for a base.
And then all you have to do is insert the character into the game (might have to place it over another character in te game)
I know what I just suggested is hard, but if you want it bad enough, it should be possible. also, if its done, nintendo may be more likly to add her in the next smash game.
That's unfeasible. Even if I had access to everything I needed: the source code, a professional game artist, a Wii development kit, and the legal papers to allow it, I'd still need a ton of time and knowledge I simply don't have. Perhaps in 5 or 6 years when I've worked on a professional game or two I might attempt it.
Yea, it certainly is a project alright. But its not all that impossible. The source code may or may not be a hassle to get, and the kit, but 3d graphics arnt that hard to do. (granted it IS art, and may take talent to do something that looks superb. You could however copy other models of krystal). Also, as far as the legal papers go, they cant really do anything to you so long as you arnt costing them money by adding the character, and you arnt making money.
However, as far as professionalism goes. Its people who do things like this that get hired to make the games. The people in charge of the elderscrolls series actually make it a point to view the popularity and creaters of various patches and mods made, and offer jobs to the "cut above the rest".
But that, and other games were meant to be modded. Brawl was not. Furthermore, it will be impossible to legally obtain the source code. I'm not talking about the assembly, but the actual C++ and whatnot code. I can't get that without breaking into Nintendo's Japanese Headquarters. Secondly, I have done 3D art, and the amount of skill required to make a fully animated character with fur and outfit is prohibitive at best. Finally, this is a console; an emulator will be required before mods work.

I dont own a Wii, but Im fairly sure even with the memory cards its possible...
if you people want a Krystal in brawl so bad, why not make one? Just get a model set up, set the coding for her moves and basic physics reactions. You could even use another character's source code for a base.

I know what I just suggested is hard, but if you want it bad enough, it should be possible. also, if its done, nintendo may be more likly to add her in the next smash game.

That's unfeasible. Even if I had access to everything I needed: the source code, a professional game artist, a Wii development kit, and the legal papers to allow it, I'd still need a ton of time and knowledge I simply don't have. Perhaps in 5 or 6 years when I've worked on a professional game or two I might attempt it.

Yea, it certainly is a project alright. But its not all that impossible. The source code may or may not be a hassle to get, and the kit, but 3d graphics arnt that hard to do. (granted it IS art, and may take talent to do something that looks superb. You could however copy other models of krystal). Also, as far as the legal papers go, they cant really do anything to you so long as you arnt costing them money by adding the character, and you arnt making money.

However, as far as professionalism goes. Its people who do things like this that get hired to make the games. The people in charge of the elderscrolls series actually make it a point to view the popularity and creaters of various patches and mods made, and offer jobs to the "cut above the rest".

But that, and other games were meant to be modded. Brawl was not. Furthermore, it will be impossible to legally obtain the source code. I'm not talking about the assembly, but the actual C++ and whatnot code. I can't get that without breaking into Nintendo's Japanese Headquarters. Secondly, I have done 3D art, and the amount of skill required to make a fully animated character with fur and outfit is prohibitive at best. Finally, this is a console; an emulator will be required before mods work.

if they make another SSB (what would it be? theyre running out of other words for fight lol) I'm pretty sure Krystal would be in it. Cmon! We need more female characters in the SSB series. Although the next one probably wont be coming for like over 5 years minimum considering it was a 7 year gap between Melee and Brawl, but who knows?
