Personally I was first introduced to dnd back in 3.5 so I automatically like it better then 4th edition. However i do have som valid critisms agaisnt after playing it back when it first lauched. The first being how everyone had to keep several pages of spells descriptions laying around and if you a fighter your move list. In 3.5 I can never recall having that issue and if someone did use a spell usually everyone was familar with it. Thanks to healing saves it also feels like a videogame in dnd.

My unique characters powers are far more customizable and every one doesn't do the same exact fucking thing.

in all fairness, the damage reduction system for armor makes more sense than armor making you harder to hit.

@adequateautocrat well I think it's better if u look at it more as an attack being effective rather than missing. If you roll low with a dagger vs plate mail dont envision it as a dodge so much as an inefective hit to pierce the armor....thus resulting in 0 damage, OH MY GOD IM HAVE A NERD DEBAT ON YOUTUBE ADN I DONT EVEN PLAY DND!!!

I understand that it is about the effectiveness of the attack, but the way the game is played you roll to see if you hit. that's the way it's said, so i can't help but imagine "my armer is so big and bulky that you can't even bring your puny weapon near me."
