I used to go to EBGames(NY) back before Gameshit bought them out.....it was wonderful.  EB would have a bin with N64 games/Atari Games/SNES&NES Games/accessories/etc....all on the cheap.

They also would allow you to trade in your old PC games and always had a rack full of trade ins to browse for old gems one wanted on the cheap......and they'd uy most games without a problem for decent amounts compared to what they sold it for.

First they slowly stopped taking very old games tradeins for like SNES/64/NES/Atari/etc...then they stopped the PC tradeins so that section of their store died out......they claimed some bs that people could just sell them warez bootleg pc games and they would be out money but that's bs imo...cuz from experience anyone can tell a bootleg copy from the original and I think they just weren't making enough money

Reply part 4 - Anyways most recently Gameshit stopped tradein stuff for more recent things like PS1 games, and even XBOX original games.....my guess is so they can put in more stuff for the top 3 systems(360, PS3, Wii......and maybe DS as well.) which make em the most profit margin......srsly the only games they carry are either from the top 3 consoles and also PS2 and handhelds like DS and PSP. Nothing else anymore really. If they drop PS2 tradein support i'll just go somewhere else. F*ck em

Reply part 5 - And also they give the least amount of store credit i've ever seen......like 1 dollar for a 15 dollar game or like 5 bucks for a 30 dollar game....and if you take cash you lose like 25% off the store credit value(used to be they only took off 10%). They also check all the discs now which makes sense they don't wanna take in broken games like thsy used to....but even if the game works in your system and has like two scratches they might not take it while others will.
