I am nto to sure on that colour the original BMW blue is amazing on my Dad's old one of these bikes it was the best fully colour coded bmw official luggage system much better than the rear seat pocket :L
Hi mate is this an ex police unit? I have one of these got just on 90,000 miles on the clock still turns heads after a polish ,,the finish is very good on these as mine is a '96 . The handling on these is very good but takes a while to get used to if you change your mind half way around a bend for example it does not like it at all if you attack with a bit of comitment it goes round the curvey stuff very well. Stay safe John music! heard a lot worse.
We actually have 3 kinds of police in France : 1/ regular police in towns, 2/ army police out of the cities and on highways 3/ custom police everywhere to unsure drug controls and anything else that could represent financial danger for the homeland stability.
All 3 polices use to have that R1100RT, on different colors (white, light blue and dark blue). This bike is an ex Custom.
I agree, it takes time to get adjusted with the position.

This is some kind of dark blue, 100% specific to our custom police, here in France. I bet you like your 96 R1100RT, this is an awesome bike!
