Okay I love Tarja but you have to understand that not only did he let her go she also wanted to become a solo artiest it's hard for anyone to give up their place in a huge band like nightwish, but still even without Tarja Tuomas has managed to give Nightwish a rebirth. Tarja has even created great indie music I love :D

Your probably right . I do like some of her current stuff. Her voice is amazing, possibly the best I have heard but the music is just in the background now. Live in concert with NW she blows my mind. I am sad I will never see that.

It is hard to keep a band together for many years no matter who you are , and who wouldn't fall such a metal goddess. That said there is no excuse for the way it seams this was handled , Toumass and the band showed themselves as cowards not professionals IMO.

I am a NW fan but I don't follow up with their feuds. All I know is that Tuomas fired Tarja for having the fame get to her head and claim that she will leave the band to pursue her own stuff. From my understanding, Tuomas felt betrayed and used so he let her go. I would love you to elaborat your side of the story =)

Tarja made Nightwish imo , I can only hope she joins another good band. The music in her solo work is too generic. Nightwish is a good band good songwriting, but It was Tarja's most powerful voice that made them stand out. Im guessing Tuomas was jealous, even tho everyone gave him lots of credit she was still the star.

His great lyrics together with the talent of the other members, including the beautiful voice and charisma of Tarja, made this band so special for all of us. I am thankful for all those albums with her on voices.

Whatever NW did after Tarja, it doesn't matter to me anymore. But it would be unfair to say Tarja made Nightwish. The day Tuomas decide to stop his adventure, that day will be the end of NW.

tarja was kicked out of the band thru a letter tht the band wrote to her after the "end of an era" concert, from what was discussed, tarja was excluded from the band because of her "diva" attitude and the fact she preferred to be away from the band when travelling to gigs. it is also believed that marco wanted her kicked out cuz she was taking all the glory. so really, jealousy was the reason tarja was kicked out, tht and the fact that tuomas believed she wasnt being tru to her fans.. its sad :(

the band felt that tarja wasn't putting any emotion to the music they played, like she used to. They felt she was there only for the money, and they decided that she wasn't fit for the band. At that time, she also had a husband-who was a business man, i think. She didn't really speak with the band, her attitude changed, so they kicked her out. This is the band's side of the story. I personally love tarja with nightwish very, much. So i cant say they're right, but no one knows the real story.

What words of his from the open letter do think AREN'T lies or misrepresentations?

Do you really think Tarja didn't care about the music? Do you believe she cancelled a show to go to the movies? It never happened, but Tuomas writes the letter in a way to mislead the reader into thinking she did, although he doesn't actually SAY she did. The rest of that story is highly dubious, but it comes down to believing him or believing Marcelo.

I think people can say what DIDN'T happen, and what did happen in terms of what is public knowledge.

Tuomas and the band fired her in a very hurtful way for no good reason, FACT.

There was no reason to fire her by handing her a letter behind the stage after the Hartwell concert. I could see if she had shown up drunk for the concert and couldn't perform, but that is not the case, she had just given one of her best performances ever.

What it did for them was get them free publicity, at Tarja's expense of course.
