Thank you for producing this great guitar tutorial. Your instruction is really clear and even a ham-fisted player like me is able to reproduce the lick. Great stuff. Keep 'em coming! Kind Regards
Once you guys are ready to use some of these licks Dave shows you check out the Jammers website jamclubonline ... dot com right?! lol it's where you can find all the good jams you want to get to to meet cats and get your jam on!!! plus a lot more if your a jammer you'll love it!!!
Nice, this is such an important thing to know when playing blues, happens every twelve bars in a lot of songs right?! Thanks Dave, I purchased some of youre video's a year or so ago and they have been very helpfull, to me as well as a friend or to who I shared them with!
Really cool lesson this! Knowing these kinds of tricks (or licks :) ) makes any easy song so much more interesting to listen to on the guitar! I really hope there will be more lessons on blues technique like this! Led Zeppelin - Rock 'n' Roll riff maybe :)
I've never posted any comment on your videos before, so thank you for a great series of guitar lesson! Really helpful :)
Dave - another good job. You have a great style (not only of playing of course) of presenting and teaching - and the laid back look and your enjoyment makes it all the more enjoyable. Thank you kindly.
Thanks man - really appreciate that - made my night! - thanks so much for taking the time to write in and say such nice nights - your rock! and it means a lot
Thanks so much for all your kind words - so appreciated! STay tuned for another turnaround lick coming soon - keep up all the hard work and keep on rocking!
Hi Dave, I enjoy your videos. There is one correction you need to make. The first beat on the 11th bar is the I chord, just for that beat, then on the second beat you enter the turnaround. Otherwise, you're rushing it. This is a very good video as it adds another turnaround to my arsenal, THANX!!
@TheMax212, Yes, I agree with your statement as you can see from my post.. However, what I was attempting to convey is that unless you're using a full 8 beat turnaround, which is not what Dave is using here, you start it on the 2nd beat of the 11th bar. Surprisingly, turnarounds can be used almost anywhere depending on your phrasing, I've heard trunarounds used on the first beat of the fourth bar as well, and they sound fine.
@gooney0 Oh I don't need to learn theory. I learned so much from my teacher Bill Schnare. The only thing I really don't know much about are the dominant modes. I might look into them later. Well, maybe not the ONLY thing, but I can hold my ground when it comes to theory :) If you're interested, go check out the program he created called Guitar Mentor.
Hey David, I have been looking for a taylor guitar online, and at local stores. All of them are to expensive for me right now. So my question is, Would you recomend a low end Taylor (214ce, 110ce) or would i be better off buying a Yamaha or Takamine.
Or do you know anywhere that sells dicount or used Taylors at a cheaper price.
Great lesson. You are the best guitar teacher around. Thanks.

@SMart7751 No it is not true what you are saying. Turnaround is on the 11th and 12th bar.

I know I've said this before, but I'll say it once more. If you want to help people, teach them how to MAKE these instead of just playing them.
