After like 1 week of anger, I have finally finished it! For the beginners (like myself), it isn't impossible, but I suggest you go and learn how to actually hold the crochet/yarn. I had to go YouTube it and the rest was just knowing where to but the needle into the holes.
Also, I realized that after putting it on that I'm going to have to bobby pin it so it'll stay on my head.
It's fine with me that you don't know the crochet termonolgy, you have the video that explains how everything is done - it's very ez to comprehend. I remember your first beret, i was like ok, ok and can tell you have learned more - it's funn!! My suggestions for the hat would be the Peek-A-Boo Beret!!! i think it's cuuuute!
i like ur hat tutorials, i think they come out so very cute and i think you're great!!!! am currently making this hat right now. thanks a lot for your videos. i'm a subscriber, yay!
This is a fantastic video. Although I've crocheted for awhile, this is the first time I've attempted a beret. I had to make a few adaptations because I didn't have a 5mm hook but it was easy to do. It doesn't matter that you don't know the correct terms, your instruction and camera work said it all and because you learned without them, I'm sure many beginners will give this a go. Brilliant tutorial, well done.
I've only watched your crocheting videos and they have gotten so much better. Don't let anyone put you down. As long as what your doing is working for you that that is all that matters. I find your videos very very easy to understand... I was having a really hard time learning until I started watching you... Keep doing what your doing.. take care.
I just wanted to say thanks for making this video!!! I have made like 3 of these hats and I just started crocheting! They are so simple to make and I think they look super cute!! Thanks again!!
Thank you for the video! This is such a cute hat, but I just wished you had better crochet grammar. But I love the hat, I made one myself and its so great! Oh and for future reference that 'half stitch' is called a single crochet. :)
I loved your tutorial it was my first time crocheting an beret and the way you took your time with it really helped alot although I had to go back a couple of times because my son kept trying to type lol my beret turned out beautifully I love berets now I can make them in a variety of colors! Thank you so much keep the tutorials coming!!!
hi.. i love your tutorials.... i made several of your chunky berets... you guys need to check out that video.. ill post a video in my channel this week I used a size N crochet hook and it turned out too cute for words
I just frustrated its an awesome turtorial and the beanie/hat is very cute!
I just got like mad because I kept messing up. I use to crochet all the time then I stopped because of school/sports and its been years. So I forgot a lot.
@PrettyGirlRockk15 aww! if you're a beginner and just picked up your hook today then no this isnt for you but dont give up! i say take it really slow...stitch by stitch and pause the video if you have to!
I just made it. it took approximately 2 1/2 hours to make (as I like to finish things I start right away). :) It is very cute i made mine in an off white color.. Thank you for the video! I unfortunately do not have a twitter. But thanks :)
I have have done 2 of them thank you soo much and i would love to send you on twitter but too bad i dont have an account there :( thank you again and am not that good at reading pattern's too soo you made it soo much easier for me :D
I just finished this hat for my 10yr old daughter and she loves it. Im going to make me one next. . I had been wanting to make a hat but i have a hard time reading and understanding patterns. This was very easy for me to do because i just followed along with you. Thanks so much for this tutorial
Thank you again.. your explanations are so clear. But i have a question. when i get to the 8th round and 9th round the had is still too small. do i continue making 8 stiches until the hat fits my liking or shoul i keep adding stitches?? please let me know:-)
thank you for posting this new tutorial. i've done the infinity scarf and the chunky beret. didn't get the ht at first but I did get it (eventually) and luv the result. Will try this one and see how many try it will take. luv u for doing this!
love this, I tried it out and it turned out marvelous!!!!!!! I love how you explain everything, you make it super simple and easy to do!!! thanks for sharing your talent with us!
I did Five berets. Two of them are small, one was big and didnt fit my head (i might of missed a row) and the fourth one was GOOD and the 5th one is PERFECT. its bec of after the 3rows of 8, i did three rows of half crochet so it the brim is bigger. I love how it turned out. I really need to pictured of them! Oh, i used a 6.5 for the perfect one!
i always love your crocheting tutorials, i do know most of the correct terms but i love how you dont use them, since sometimes its confusing. i made this hat in a grey blue color and it looks great
:) thanks so much again for another tutorial:)
you can go to my blog to see a picture of my finished product:)
I'm using a 9 mm crochet hook and I'm making my stitches pretty loose and I'm only at row seven and my hat is already pretty big. If I just stop at row seven and do the rest like normal but with seven. Will my hat turn out okay??? Please help!!
I really liked making the other crochet hat you posted but when I tried it on it looked like a chef hat lol! Must have made the band too big. I can't wait to try this one!
Thanks Tracey! This is the perfect gift for my mother just in time for Christmas and it only cost me $4, it only took me about 4 hours, plus I was able to use the remainder of the yarn to make matching fingerless gloves! I'm sure she will LOVE this! Thanks so much again :o)
@McSpamela What did you do for the brim? :) did you just double crochet it all, or can you please explain what you did? Love this design, but I'd like to add a brim to mine too :)
Great work! I love your crocheted hats/scarves and I think your work is amazing. Don't apologize for not knowing "proper" crocheting terms - your work speaks for itself. Good job and thanks for taking the time to share what you do:)
Omg i Love the way this type of beanie/hat looks!!!... i tried the other one from the "slouchy" video ... i was so happy to be able to make it good haha... and i finally made one scarf , it wasn't all that good , but i got good feedback from my friends.
