uhh... where have you been? You can block a gedan w your hands.. It's just more dangerous to do it because it leaves your upper body/head wide open.

But that doesn't mean it's impossible to block a low kick w hands.

Then again I wouldn't wanna see people doing it, I dislike it.

You can block a gedan kick with hands. If its Mawashi Geri you can try a mae gedan barai block, just stretching it more out to the sides (wouldn't be original Mae Gedan Barai tho.)

Or you can try a Shuto Mawashi Uke (mostly fit for Chudan tho) or, Chudan Uchi Uke - Gedan Barai. Ofcourse, it is a risk, and you shouldn't block gedan kicks, but it can be done. And it can work, but blocking with leg is more fit and faster to make a counter. But still, it is doable.

Comon dude, come down. The first point you have to learn in Karate-do is to respect your opponennt, it doesn't matter if that is in this youtube or in a fight on a tatami. I know what I'm talking about because I've practiced Wado Ryu Karate Do since im 7 years old, so I practice Karate more than the half of my life. Another point, it doesn't matter how young they are, all of my sempais are very disciplined and im very harsh to them, If they play just like you're two. A dojo is not a Kindergarden
