  • I just wanted to say thank you to Dr.Mayberg and your staff for your hard work and efforts to help these patients who have very little hope left.I also want to thank the Stanley Medical Research Institute,The Dana Foundation and the Robert W.Woodruff Foundation for there support and help to give these individuals a chance to have a better life.I`m looking forward to working with the staff at Emory very soon as a patient in the DBS study,it`s the only hope I have left. Thank you, Darryl

  • So they'd rather get someone to pay for surgery than correct the physiological condition the easy and less invasive way.

  • @cutelittleflowers Could you please tell me the easy and less invasive way to correct the problem of treatment resistant depression? I`m all ears. The fact that you think there is an easy, less invasive way shows you have no understanding at all of the condition we are talking about. Millions of these people have tried behavioral therapies, multiple medications and shock therapy yet they remain non functional. What do you propose we do?Try educating yourself about this issue, good luck.
