I didn't think it was that boring, Yeah I like Doom 3 more, but this game satisfied me with it's sound design, and simple gun play....just like id makes 'em.

I think strogg Voss is harder to kill than the Makron. The Makron in both Q2 and Q4 is easy

I think this game is so much better then Doom 3, its what doom 3 should of been. Far more enemy characters, better weapons, gore is easily up there with doom and better levels then doom, plus you can get in a tank and a little mech. I really find it hard to believe that you found this boring and enjoyed doom so much more. I played doom 3 before this and i was dissappointed, i enjoyed it, but i expected more which i got from quake 4.

dude I was about to coment some "interesting" stuff about this section until i read the info and you said quake 4 sucked. im a real ID fan and though I know every opinion is valid but I was totally delighted with the sequel to quake 2 (yeah, not 3 for now) ID has always pushed PC market tech with their games and the senarios really sumerged the player in now. I love the game so far, amd I would like to know why you say its so bad... as I said, every opinion is valid

I wouldnt say the game was entirely bad, I just didnt like the state of the Doom 3 (Id Tech 4 I believe) when this game was made. Unlike the first 3 quake games, this one is more realistic, and more in-game dialouge, which for me ruined the atmosphere.

There's another clean, easy way.

1) Always keep around four meters from him - that will get him to use his lightning gun which is easy to dodge by strafing sideway.

2) Use your railgun. When he stops moving, shoot him in the head.

3) Watch his head shield. Circle around him and shoot him only when the shield is off - around 5-10 seconds after you shot him.

Repeat until he dies: you won't damage his shield so bad, not even a reload, and no other stroggs. Actually he didn't even hit me once!

I think voss lost because he got windows Blue Screen of Death, not because you shot him up

"Man, I have to say, this is one real crappy game to say the least". What!? Quake 4 may be a short played game, but it offers a fun shoot and dodge challenge. Doom 3 is more for the fear factor but is a great game. However, in my opinion Wolfenstein 3D still kicks ass any day!

Well Voss isnt completely Stroggified hes a Transfer. Cos if u listen 2 da Slimy Transfers, Failed Transfers and Tactical Transfers they say things such as "Kill Meeeeeeee..." or "Run, i... i cant control myself..." or "Help me... (Huffing) Please...".

Absolutely. Unfair difficult! Guy's walking to slow, weapon reloading takes an eternity, and the disorientation after a melee attack from an enemy - disturbing and annoying like hell. Makes no fun after a while (on "hard").

ACTUALLY NOT THAT FAR POSSIBLY 3 or 4 waste facilitys away so play it wont take you much time it toke me about half an hour or a bit more but a duel with Voss is worth it

I don't know man... I was bored to hell while playing this game. I think, many people found Doom 3 to be more interesting than this one. Graphically, it is much better than Doom 3, even though both run on the same engine. I guess Doom 3's creepiness made it a much better game...

Doom 3 and quake 4 might run on the same engines but i think they just pure screwed up on this every time i search for doom 4 i either get this or some crappy video of teens on crack with plastic guns shooting each other pretending its Doom -.-

@doomedtofrag sorry for commenting in a 3 year old comment but, quake 4 is better than doom 3 for me, expecially in the multiplayer.

the doom 3 multiplayer is a big shit. the mods to the game are way better than the original multiplayer version.

quake 4 has a great story too like quake 2.

doom 3 was going to be a remake of the 1st one, the problem is they changed too much the story if you see the 1st doom.

the 1st doom game was talking about a base in the moon, not in mars! on beta version.

Agree totally. How can he say its flat boring & then say he enjoyed doom 3 so much more. Far more variety in this game then doom 3. I love all doom games, don't get me wrong. But If i were to only play either D3 or Q4 for the rest of my life i wouldn't think twice, Q4 all the way. It makes no sense that he can call this boring and not say the same for doom 3. Q4, you get vehicles, better weapons, upgrades, more enemy characters, more interaction, etc. D3 dissappointed me, this made up for it.
