This video is worth the price, even if just for the clips from the show where it was pouring rain in Poland. The section where the band is playing the end of Afterglow with the incredible light show as the rain beats down is absolutely ethereal. I also love the part where they show individuals in the crowd singing along to Carpet Crawlers. It perfectly captures the love the fans have for the band.
Oh man, I was at the Katowice gig where it rained to beat the devil - you see it right at the very end there - the rain was... beyond anything I've ever experienced. Seeing it again, and hearing those soaking wet Polish fans chanting 'Genesis! Genesis!'... goosebumps man, goosebumps... That was the greatest night of my life.
Oh I know what You mean, mate. Been standing 30 meters from the stage for three hours before concert started. Just after they let people in on the stadium the rainy apocalypse started. I was never so wet in my life, but after 10 minutes I ignored it. And when the band finally came and started playing, people - all people - hide their umbrellas. We were soked, yeah (actually my clothes dried on me, while I was going back 800 km north ;) but this didn't stop us from party. And the show was epic.
I just recently bought When in Rome and watched the documentary DVD. Does anyone else find it very difficult to catch most of the dialogue? It may just be my American ears trying to understand fast speaking Brits.
I wonder what Phil was flipping out about. I love documentaries like this. And just so everyone in America knows (don't know about the rest of the world) Wal-Mart will be the only distributor for this dvd.
They practiced "Duke's Travels" and Phil had a bad moment and missed the rythm. That's why he flipped out ;-). It's known that Phil is a perfectionist. He has oftenly flipped out during tours ;-).
thx for posting

The rotating stage idea reminded me of "Stonehenge" from Spinal Tap.

I think it's those american ears, a lot of americans have said they have no idea what mike and tony are on about most of the time!
