I am interested in this. Can I use this standalone, and will I be able to output the video so that it may be uploaded to Youtube? Also, can I incorporate my own images/video?

Plasmavis can be run stand-alone with microphone input. AcidWax (by the same developer) also allows microphone input as a stand-alone application.
