I like how you can see it's not done... The transparency on Kyo's flames is missing... They have weird black edges... I do hope it's a sign that the graphics aren't complete and that it won't stay that way in the final release of the game.

Oh don't be a douche, the people who like VF like that it has a slower, more deliberate pace. It discourages button mashing makes more a more tactical game.

It's all geared towards realism, even the characters avoid the over-the-topness of other fighting games. No teleporting ninjas here.

And if it's such a rip-off, how come no other fighting game features a shaolin monk? It seems so obvious! Every fighting game should have shaolin in it, and yet none of them do.

vf is garbage man, slow deliberate pace, cause thats realistic, thats a pretty fuckin stupid thing to say you know, if you studied martial arts youd know that prancing around slowly just watching the other guy is not very wise, and it certainly does not discourage button mashing, the simplicity of the move sets definetly encourages it, i was absolutly disgusted with vf 4 and ill never touch another, but more games should have shaolin monks

hey i play 2d fighters all trhe time i have like half the king of fighters franchise, but Vf5 is a goo game in my opnion. it takes alot of skill and if you button mash then your pretty much gonna lose to everyone you play. so not everyone sees eye to eye. sorry if i like other games than you iisn't that supposed be how everyone is.

i dont know what you have been doing but i beat all of vf4 barely looking at the screen, im sorry but just the general design of a 3d fighter eliminates any actual need of skills, if you play it a lot then obviously you will learn things about different ways you can use things, so my point is that 3d fighters are much more simplistic and slow paced, if you enjoy playing it just cause you have a good time thats a totally different story

It's about the huge roster of moves you need to learn in order to master a character. Plus, each of these moves has certain properties, and certain frame advantages/disadvantages on hit/block, ranges, you even have wallspecific moves and a lot of, really a lot of different throws, with different ranges.

I could never really get into the snk games, hell, the first time that I've heard about snk was capcom vs snk. Even in that game NONE of the snk characters appealed to me. I'd pick them just to mess around, but when it got time to get serious I'd go back to the street fighter boys (ryu, ken, akuma) they're just too damn solid. Capcom, like always, is gonna run the 2d fighting game genre for another year, (they have 2 bangers being released) the same way that namco runs the 3d fighting games.
