  • The whole "7ths and 9ths" you are referring to are probably referring to chord symbols. Check out some of my later videos for more info on chords.

    Major Pentatonic Scale: 1,2,3,5,6 of a scale

    Minor Pentatonic: I, b3, 4, 5, b7

    Blues Scale: Same as Minor pentatonic but with a b5 or #4 as well.

    I think you may be thinking of a diatonic scale, which consists of all the notes.

    Hope this clears things up a bit and if it confused you further, I apologise :p
