Hospitals don't 'let people die', just like electricians don't let TVs die. If you have the money to repair your TV before it dies, you go and pay for a SERVICE that someone provides.

Same with hospitals. Doctors and nurses took many years to train to provide a service of healthcare, those drugs cost money to be developed and produced and all the people involved want to get paid.

Why do people think they can DEMAND healthcare?

And it is not FREE in the UK, as many here seems to think.

Actually I am 100% certain that there are U.S laws that that clearly state in an emergency situation "even if you don't have, Money or Medical Insurance that all American hospitals will treat you. Of course you will be getting a large bill in the mail but the U.S is definitely not cruel enough to just stand by and watch people die. I saw this law in bold letters on a hospital wall yesterday. He may not have the money for the surgery but if he is about do die they're going to treat him.
