The hardest part, is that you are also going thru puberty you start to gain weight and change and you have to keep it up with the sport. That is what happened with Nadia 2 yrs after she scored 7 perfect 10 she just wasnt as good anymore..cause of sudden changes..its just normal

Carly is a TRUE AA gold. Nastia and shawn, they're good, they're fantastic, but they just don't have 'it' the same way carly did, carly just made everything look so polished, so easy. Like, if it had been carly, nastia and shawn all competing for the AA gold in Beijing, can you honestly say Carly wouldn't have won?

agreed. Carly was amzing, but it's sort of heartbreaking if you think back to 2000 how the error with the vault messed up Sveta when she was the favorite. And it's incredible that she could come back 4 years later and still be a heavy contender for gold. I wish she'd fulfilled that goal too.

What i love most about Carly is that she didn't go the olympics expecting to come out on top, whereas with Nastia it was like she expected it and was almost shocked that someone could have beat her (or did beat her in some areas)

I really do not think you could be more wrong. Carly knew if she hit she would win. Like the rest of the world, I am pretty sure Nastia expected that Shawn Johnson would win in Beijing. She was so overwhelmed in the medal ceremony. You can't fake that.
