  • Do you have a day job?

  • Which flash are you using?

  • @OliverKrystal

    Canon 580 EX II

  • Now I really want to do this! I would need to get the flash and components, but that wouldn't be very hard. The hard part for me would be assembling the circuit and getting the flash programmed right. Do you think you could make a new video explaining exactly what to do? Or link to some nice tutorial?

  • @Rulerofwax24

Just do it. You'll learn more.

  • Thumbs up for the "I love my wife" t-shirt.

  • LOL I snapped at 3:09

  • That's okay, Destin. I like to make my breadboard circuits look just like the schematic.

    --Sterling, but different electrical engineer.

  • Fantastic video!

  • That's a cool shirt!

  • Thumbs up for the 'i Love My Wife t-shirt' ;)

  • hey, you're the first one I see doing the breadboard connections just as neatly as I do, cutting all those wires to the exact length :D

  • I liked your comments about the physical laws. Newton believed the same thing and believed that was how God spoke to mankind.

  • I made one of these! :P Before this, ;P I feel clever :))

  • Wow, that's actually really cool. I'd like to snap my fingers and the light flashes. I'd have too much fun.

  • can i have the circuit diagram

  • @gemdha21

    just go to hiviz.com

  • @destinws2 shoot an egg

  • Tricking ppl into subscribing aint cool man!

  • @Stickeroo wot.

  • >Have perfectly good circuit my friend was kind enough to spent his time making

    >Spend 5 hours of my life making the circuit "Tighter"

  • im still a kid and i am not in bed...

  • I Think this could be easier with an arduino micro-controller because you can accurately control the delay (analog Vs digital :] )and there are fewer component required to achieve this.

But it it all up to a personal preference

  • it sure is amazing how a simple statement like "the world was created with" can set so many twats on a religious tirade. *spoiler:the world was in fact created* it doesn't matter what your beliefs are, the world was created. people here are arguing as to how it was created which is dumb since there was no jumping off point to argue about.

  • one person electrocuted themself

  • Haha, nice shirt. "I love my wife" Lol

  • I want to create a t-shirt that says

    "I love my mistress"

  • Nice demo. Just one scientific inaccuracy: The world was not created ;)

  • @TheDreamMasterAB

I would venture to say we both believe it was created.

  • @destinws2 It all depends on whether we use a general acception of "creation", or if we use the contextual interpretation. In the context of the discussion of the origin of the world, "creation" has a commonly used meaning that is paired with the "creationist" posture.

Scientists would use the expression " the world was created" to refer to this belief, and in order to avoid confusion, would not use the expression when referring to a scientific theory of the world's origin.

  • @TheDreamMasterAB

    Haha. So, we agree?

  • @destinws2 Clarify your usage of the expression "the world was created" so I can answer. :)

  • @TheDreamMasterAB

It didn't exist. Then it did. Some force outside of the earth itself created it.

  • @destinws2 this conversation confused the shit out of me and i a prety spart prson....

  • @AwokenDemon lmao @ "i a prety spart prson" XD

  • @destinws2 Gravity was a force in the parts of the Earth. Formation and creation, slight difference. The assumption people were put here has little to no evidence ,outside superstitious reasoning.Believe what you want, but if you offer it to public ideas expect to be challenged . Nice vid otherwise. We must just seem to be like a bunch of dicks.

  • @destinws2 It's called gravity.

BTW, are you a Young Earth Creationist?

  • where did you get that camra

  • I like your shirt.

  • @sectrew

    I Love my wife

  • i subscribed before the video was done :)

  • 4:50 is my new wall paper

  • did you say HIV? lol

  • I think I know what present your wife gave you for Christmas :P

  • Dang, so sick! I love it.

  • I made that circuit once :D

Condenser microphone connected to a potentiometer to control the sensitivity of the mic, two bipolar npn transistors to work as a bi-stable multi vibrator, and bunch of LED's .. when you clap the LED's turns on, clap again and they're out.. I think I can use the same circuit for this experiment but I need to modify it to a mono-stable multi vibrator :D :D

  • Am i the only one who thinks 4:25 isn't nice towards the goldfish?

  • @Edekje

Oh... you haven't seen the video yet, have you? Look up "Sparky the stunt fish"

  • insomnia ftw! :)

  • 4:50 epic face

    nice vid!

  • Im Jewish but ur still awesome

  • @Smalskin

    So was Jesus. SHALOM!

  • U seem like the best person on earth

  • @Smalskin

Any good you see is Jesus. Any bad you see is me.

  • @destinws2 Why wouldn't the good simply be you being a good person?

  • Comment removed

  • @cat2cube Nope, he's just another bible thumper who believes that he's a total piece of shit except for the fact that he loves jesus, because he was raised in the religious southern America, and those beliefs were instilled in him from a very young age. He's completely ignorant and oblivious to anything anybody tells him about religion, because he blindly believes in whatever the bible tells him. We know this because he didn't reply to me. This shows he's far too afraid to TRULY think logically.

  • @master777999

To first think logically one must free themselves of preconceived notions and positions. I will now point out that your comment has probably broken a YT comment record for number of preconceived notions in a single comment. I will additionally point out that this video is about high speed photography and it seems illogical for me for you to focus on one word ("creation") in a video of weapon firings, circuits, timelapse and person taking scientific discovery seriously. No fear.

  • @destinws2 I understand in full that my comments contained a large amount of preconceived notions, and I was merely waiting for you to confirm or deny them, and you have done neither, leading me to assume that they are at least mostly true. This assumption may be incorrect, but it is logical to believe that it is correct. The fact that you said this is an off-topic conversation to be held on this video is true, but that also makes it seem like you are avoiding continuing the conversation.

  • @destinws2 I mean no personal offense to you, by the way.

  • @master777999

Sure, if you'd like to continue this discussion in private, feel free to send me a personal message. If you're having this discussion to learn for yourself then great. If you're having it for the benefit of others seeing you make your "logical" points public, then nah. I've spent a lifetime investigating these things and have arrived at my religious beliefs in a well thought out non-brainwashed or hive-mind influenced method.

  • @destinws2 That's all I wanted to hear. Thank you sir, and have a nice day.

  • @cat2cube And he deleted your comment as well, which means what you said probably wasn't what he thought to be EXACTLY the truth, so he shunned it away. It's a real shame that he acts this way and believes these things, because he seems like a great guy, and quite intelligent.

  • @master777999 actually i deleted my comment because i didnt want to start a debate on a diy video.

  • That looks great. However, how do you sync the flash to the camera? What I mean is that it is great that you now are able to sync the flash to a sound, but how do you do that with the camera also?

  • @flashchrome

Long shutter speed (6 seconds or so)

  • @destinws2. Ohhh. Sorry, that was perhaps too obvious for me to understand myself :) Thanks for answering.

  • hi great vid, do you have a circuit digram?

  • Really cool project. I love the Pictures of the bullets going through fish bowl...

  • hey!

i bought it from hiviz.com but i cant get it to work...

the delay unit indicator led burns when i connect the battery but i cant get it to work with the Piezoelectric Element....:( i tried some othet connections but i think i burnt the Piezoelectric Element.. because i heard a sound comming from it. now the led from the delay unit indicator doesnt burn anymore when i connect the battery...

PLZ can i get some hlep??

    sorry for my bad english

  • @weekendtotaal

Sounds like you have something hooked up backwards. Sound coming from the piezo indicates you are supplying voltage to the piezo instead of using it as a supply. Can you send me a high res photo?

  • @destinws2 thanks for your fast reply!

if you send me via persenal message your email i can send you a foto of my trigger.

  • good impression:

    1st kids are in bed!

2nd you love your wife... (obviously)

    3rd good in electronics...

    bad impression:

1st did you started shooting stuff when your kids where in bed?

and 2nd "dude... did you kill the fish just to take a picture? (@4:26)

anyway you know i'm kiding .. great job, cool photos!

    with humor Valerios!

  • I love his "i love my wife" shirt :D

  • @gracemariecullen Please give this person some thubs up!

  • @Atzy1010011010 Lol, thanks :) You like it too?

  • @gracemariecullen Ofcourse, it's awesome!

  • @Atzy1010011010 Lol, yes it is

  • here is 04:21 and i'm watching your video, great stuff, 10xs man

  • but will it blend?

  • GREATEST T-SHIRT EVER!!!!

    GREAT MOM COMMENT!!!!

    DEFINITELY A CHIC-FLICK!!!!

  • 4:48 was a fricken awesome shot!

  • This was my idea when I was 16 (hate not having TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT! Sorry just venting some frustration. I could use a hammer right now.

  • I love the line about exploring creation. Everything that will ever be possible is already possible.

  • I think I burnt the 555 timer out on mine when I hooked a wire into the wrong hole. :(

  • @kiashadowwave

    They're cheap! Grab another one.

  • Thankyou very much for this video and the links! I've wanted to make one of these for a while

  • I have a question about your flash setup. What was your flash output for the pictures? You are using a Canon 580 EX II right? I just bought a hiviz kit and want to know how well my flash would be able to stop a bullet, but it seems that at lowest duration for my flash (sb600) might still be too long to stop a bullet well. Might have to try a cblong to get the bullet speed down.

  • You're 30? You look maybe 22

  • That is cool

  • Coool!

  • HAA!!! I love how you make it funny too. great stuff!

  • AWESOME

  • That is cool

  • goldfish /???

  • isn't this the chicken head-tracking guy?!

  • @jaredtkatz Yep, the same awesome rocket scientist genius.

  • How did the goldfish fare?

  • Great video and Jesus is alive!

  • What is that on your garage door? Pachinko?

  • @Supermassively

    A marble roll

  • @destinws2 My second guess. That's awesome.
