i want to keep the fuel injection what computer mods will i need to do will i need the whole harness and ecm ? oxy sensors ?

the first one i did was the day i bought her the second video was about a year later with a few mods air intake / air hog system and superchip

i wanna do the lt1 or ls1 any suggestiuons would be great or a 350 may be easier

@woodytorinoo68 - I imagine the LT1 would be an easier swap. The 4.3 is directly based on the LT1, I am told it shares the same piston and rod assembly. However, a V8 swap would require changing the injector harness, post-94 engines are SFI and control each injector individually. You may find it easier to run a turbo on the 4.3 (SyTy style), will probably run just as fast if not faster.

@talismenF22 : Its just a good ol' dual exhaust running to a single 2-chamber Flowmaster muffler. Just the muffler wont do it. Your gonna need a nice cam & a good set of alum. heads to duplicate the sound of my van.

@Buick97Custom I do 2, What do you have in it. Mine had the grandmother 305 in it. I got 300,000k out of the 305,until the cam lobes went flat. so I said fuck it and threw a 350 4 bolt main in it,with a 9.5 to 1 comprssion with 202 valves and mill heads and I threw the tubro 350 lock up out and put a 700 r4 in it. Also have headers and dinomax mufflers and dumps. It has a nice mild rumble to it. fixing to put a bigger cam (comp 294) in it and replace the head with dart heads. maybe 315 hp 4 now

@GulfCoastThirdGen - The rice burners get mad when my 98 AWD model can burn them pretty much stock. All I've done to it is Bosch wires, Plat+4 plugs, good air filter and 89 octane. I run this one and a previous 2WD model as a taxi. Riced-out Civic starts throwing revs at me one night. I wasn't going to do it because I had 6 passengers. Guy in my front seat said he'd tip me $20. It was all over before I got to third gear. Shoulda heard my passengers heckling the guy at the next light. LMFAO!

@Alrgc2Air I have a 95 AWD had an air conditioner failure so it was off replaced buy just a pulley striped it out Jack,spare...did a 13.5@98MPH 3"exhaust with a high flow cat high pressure fuel injection system all new tank and lines high energy ignition want a programmable chip & headers & a stall converter so I can rev @ launch brother says that will drop it to mid to low 12's easily & it will never spin the weals unless on snow,ice or gravel a single turbo and a cam will get you into the 9's

@Alrgc2Air yes talked to my brother he doupts 9's but says low 10 if I go turbo and cam the AWD is the same as a typhoon or syclone but he says aerodynamics on the van are not as good but I pointed out weight is lower in a striped out Astro cargo van he is an engine builder and just under pro drag racer just the way he wants it he hates doctors and that's part of the license for pro he knows his shit and turned the wrenches on My astro sleeper

@sirlonghair whoa! where are you geting you info? those numbers are way off bro. my cousin had a syclone when it was brand new and it did not run 12.5 @110 stock. more like 13.6 @106mph(not sure about the mph its been a while) and i had a astro awd 4.3 work van and it actually was quick for what it was but its far FAR from a 13 second ride. even with all bolt ons it wouldnt be a 13 second ride.
