I loved the grid view of stacks in Leopard where the icons all float up individually (especially when you press shift and click on the stack and it opens in slow motion (shift+expose and shift+maximize works too).

Snow leopard's stack opens up in a faded grid... Probably to minimize graphics usage on older Macs such as the G4

Hate mac, love the OS. I have an asus laptop that cost me just under a thousand and everything is 2-3 times as good as the $1,000 macbook. So my advice to everyone, buy a hp, sony, or asus, then uninstall windows 7 and get Mac OS.

I love all the fanboys in here who can't hold a conversation about another company's product. I think Mac OS is as good as an interface as Windows. Both do the same exact thing. Lets you interact with your computer through a graphical user interface. The main reason why Macs have less bugs is because they keep a really close eye on what hardware their software goes on.

@oMRCHUCKo No the reason they have less bugs is because they support less software and hardware. I mean if you're going to tell the truth than do it right. Any software or hardware that Apple can't get to work with their OS they just don't support it. Microsoft / Windows tries very hard to make sure that all software , and hardware no matter old will work with their OS. I mean Hell for years Apple wouldn't even use Intel. Microsoft lets their OS on any computer. Apple uses vendor lock-in .

@ATHORNFAM2 That server should be powerfull enough for standard use. Even a G4. I need a powerful computer for 3d rendering in Cinema 4d and heavy Photoshop work. Apple computers handle this kind of stuff way better and more stable than Windows does, at least from my experience. Just keep on the watchout for good deals and available jobs, it helped me a lot!

Making operating systems isn't all about copying each other. What it is about is making the operating system appealing to the consumers who are going to buy the computer. The reason more people are switching to Mac is because of Windows Vista. Windows Vista was just a screw up. Windows 7 is the fix to Vista and has no problems and it runs great. I'm not bashing Mac, but Microsoft did a better job with Windows 7. If I could, I would dual boot a PC with Windows 7 and Mac OS X. I Love both OS's.
