@schnurr31 not really but sure. You can play all your vsti's with this. Plugging into a computer can convert your recordings into midi data which can be transfered to an instrument, but actually playing the instrument live is an impossibility without this pick up.

Okay...I'm fairly sure this is recent technology...but why in the hell is the video like something from the early 80's?! Even the voiceover is outdated. I'd love to see some examples of this stuff being used in music that doesn't sound like music on hold. My dream scenario is hooking up the GR-20 to the Thor in Reason 4. I wanna see someone do that...
I have noticed the prices of the GR20 really vary...I went to Music Canarias here on the island and they wanted 600€..and the money upfront ..ok..NOT!!..ended up using Thomann in germany..they had the price of 455€ under spain, which the islands come under..but we have different taxes here, so in the end it was 372€ + 10€ import tax + 18€ our tax here...and that was for the kit..so look around for a good price b4 buying
I'm getting a GR-20 soon, but I'm also about to buy an ESP F-50. Will I have any problems installing the pickup on this guitar?? I want to be sure before I buy the F-50.
looking at a pic of the F50, looks like u should have no problem..u need at least 1cm between bridge and 1st pickup..and at least 1cm height..mine is fitted to a Jackson Rhoads DX10, but i waited till i needed a string change b4 i did installation.
All very well if you have fingers like a spiders legs and have been playing guitar since you were surrounded by amniotic fluid. 30 years I've been at it and still don't have a clue!
No, if you have no idea what you're doing after 30 years then you just practiced really badly or are just a failure at life, you should have given up at 10 years.
if i ever get one of these(once i get myself a good prestige ibanez rg 2570z) i will first play with the sound at 6:10 and can any one tell me is the pickup a soldering type of process or just a screw in and play type like screw it in when you nedd it or take it out when you don't
you can check this out at Rolands website..download the manuals...but the pickup can be stuck down with sticky pads or screws....all comes with the pack..as well as spacers etc

If you compare the gr-20 with the new Roland GR-55 the GR-20 looks like a toy and it is a childtoy. The GR-55 is made for professionals.
