When working with Kompozer templates and you make a change in your non-editable regions in this template, is there a way to automatically update the pages linked to this template like in dreamweaver??
To anyone watching this video I recommend just learning the languages to make your own website... that is if you serious.
Might wanna start by learning HTML and CSS, then move on to PHP, then javascript... especially if you want people to take your website seriously (people can tell if it's a template most of the time)
@pacorocks1 Pretty sure it's mostly used for testing purposes, you would also be better served paying the $5 or $10 a month to pay for web space, much better uptime and speed.
@beavkil uhm, thats not entirely true, better uptime and speed? you have to keep in mind, its about server specs also, 20 $ says if i were to go over to my friends house, he'd be able to host a big download site, w/o any slow downs, gotta love 15 his 15 mb/s upload and 75 mb/s download... i hate him for that >:(
@TechHelpVideos dyndns won't protect you from a DDoS, and you most likely won't get a DDoS anyway. Also, unless it's a really light DDoS any equipment you could buy for your house would protect you.

Hostgator is by far the very best host ive dealt with, they even let me have internet hosting for 1 penny by employing the coupon "KINGTRAFFIC"

Using XAMPP to host a website is a bad idea, as your ISP will probably call you up if they see hundreds of incoming connections on your line.

yeah, and if you have limited internet bandwidth, it's also a bad idea.

Nice Video Nuno! Quick Question, how do you get the Start Menu items to be organized the categories?

Pretty sure they don't recommend you setup XAMPP as a production/internet facing server.
beavkil 1 year ago
@beavkil then why would they make such a product if they don't want you to host it on the internet?, my point being <--

nuno, you should use dyndns for domain. plus you need some security for web servers you can get ddos attacked or even flooded
