  • I attended many women having VBACs in my 15 years midwifery in the UK and they all made it, bar one. Her scar opened, but it wasn't a crisis, no haemorrhage, no foetal distress, just an orderly CS done in time. The others did not even see a doctor during their labours. One of the most satisfying experiences of midwifery, helping a VBAC woman through to a normal birth. Go for it! (Retired male midwife.)

  • I think it's kind of funny that the risk for uterine rupture is a lot lower for women who want to have a vbac than it is for women who have repeat cesareans yet it's what is forced on women. let's be honest. ACOG really isn't to blame for this. It's hospitals because forcing repeat cesareans increases bed turnover.

  • Thank you for supporting VBAC moms and letting everyone know that VBAC is safer than a repeat Cesarean! There is so much fear generated by caregivers about VBAC, so it is amazing to hear from an OB that this is actually not fair to exepctant women. Kerry from Hypnobabies

  • So nice to hear an OB so supportive of VBAC! I'm seeing a midwife who supports my VBAC choice, but so few OB's are truely supportive of it.

  • Why can't this guy be my doctor? LOL

    WOO HOO!

  • Awesome!
