Klein was disgusted by this video, for those of you who haven't done your art history homework. The performance had music that Klein had directed - Monotone & Silence. The first 20 minutes was a single note played by several instruments, and the last 20 minutes were silent (the void).
"The void" in his art is profound, and one can't even begin to understand it with this video.

His anthropometries are stunning, but, I just don't understand the blue monochromes. I see what he's getting at when he says blue is "the void" but, I'm lost as to how people think they're that amazing.

The sound should last 20 minutes, and after that there should be a silence for 20 minutes also... That's Klein's idea and his own composition.

This of monotone sounds different from the 1960 version which sounds softer (perhaps an organ?) if someone knows, Please let me know...
