1) You can't assess the skill of the other pilots in the short clips in this video.

2) Pro-Flight? I guess you're one of those '1337' pilots that think Pro-Flight is above all. So what? You get to get shot down while you fly upside down and backwards? LOL.

Pro-Flight is not a testament to skill. And if you're whining about flying skill, you need to be playing a flight similator, or flying a real plane, and not be playing Warhawk.

Warhawk's a pretty sweet game. You should consider picking it up. =)

In game, there are two different ways to pilot the Warhawk - Normal Flight and Pro Flight.  There's no such thing as "blackflight" - that was some Japanese guy's attempt at insulting me, pfft. =)

Normal flight simplifies some of the Warhawk's maneuvering, and gives the flight a more arcade-esque feel. The camera is almost always trailing you, so it can make staying locked on to a target hard at times.

Pro Flight makes the Warhawk control more like a plane in a flight simulator. The camera angle is first person (when not in hover-mode, I believe), and the horizon shifts as you fly your plain up-right and up-side down. A lot of people say that you turn tighter with Pro Flight, but it may just seem that way because of the different points of view (first person vs trailing camera).

Yeah, Pro-Flight is really realistic(reminds me of the Ace Combat games). It's definately the way to fly if you want the Warhawk to play more like a flight simulator. And thanks for throwing down your PSN - maybe we can get a game going sometime. =) Peace-

You're an excellent pilot. I prefer Pro Flight for the tighter turning and freedom in terms of up/down, but I have difficulty in avoiding missiles without chaff.

Do yo use the Sixaxis controls, by any chance?

Sixaxis is pretty difficult, maybe even more so with Normal Flight, so I don't even bother. :) I tried Pro Flight for about a month, but eventually switched back to Normal.

I think everyone would agree that using Normal Flight is easier to avoid missiles for beginners. However still, a lot of people like using Pro Flight, and can avoid missiles just as just as easily, if not better, than people using Normal Flight - just takes practice. Play both modes and see which one you like. ;)

You can avoid missiles with just L2. All you have to do is Barrel Roll while boosting.

That's also normal boosting speed. The video is not sped up at that part - it's only just as fast as a Warhawk will go while boosting.

My bad though, I may have misunderstood your question... are you asking "How do you boost?" hehe...

If you want to perform a speed boost, you just have to double tap on the gas (R2) and hold. ;)

Pro Flight supposedly gives you more control over the Warhawk. You can switch to Pro Flight somewhere in the options in game. I played Pro Flight for a little while, but I'd take Non-Pro Flight over it any day of the week. I like the controls better that way. But you should try them both out and see which one better fits your play style.
