  • I love all your videos. Very concise and useful. Thank you!

  • thanks zoe for the advice.

  • Hi there - baked potato is a real food, chips are processed (baked potatoes come out of the ground, chips don't). This is important because the body is better able to cope with the whole/real food. You can cut up a baked potato (keep the skin on) and bake this in the oven on a tray brushed with olive oil and make real chips!

Any whole grain rice is OK e.g. black thai rice, brown basmati should be OK (not being able to see the packet).

I'll do another comment on the fruit - not enough room!

  • great video. i have a question. in phase 2 you are alowed to eat baked potato but not chips. why is that? can i not cut a potato up in to chips size and put it in the ovan?

also ther are many types of brown rice.are all of them ok to eat?

    how about Brown basmati rice?

also no fruit juices allowed how about 'just juices'? are they not allowed?

  • Now for the fruit! This is the same issue as the potatoes/chips - if you drink orange juice, your body thinks you've had a large number of oranges and it may well release the amount of insulin to deal with several oranges. This could end up lowering your blood sugar below where it was before you had the juice. You've got to eat the real/whole food to give your body a chance of managing your blood sugar properly

    Hope this helps

    Ciao - Zoe
