Haha! That's Wallace, right? I'm doing the Zoo Keeper Academy course at Blackpool Zoo and today we got to make that exact lion some enrichment! :D I made Spongebob Squarepants and put a big bit of meat into it! XD It was so funny watching Spongebob die!
The lions at Blackppol Zoo were all bred in captivity. If you let them roam around out in the wild, they would certainly die.
Blackpool Zoo operate a successful breeding programme. There are some animals now kept in captivity that would otherwise be extinct in the wild. It's not as black and white as you think.
CONTINUED: possible you just need to use non-violante methods to tame the lion. And if you don't believe me, than i not only pity you but i suggest you read, Zamba: The Greatest Lion That Ever Lived. A most inspiring book.
His cage is massive, you can only see a third of it here. Plus, maybe this place was the only option left to him. And don't forget, SOMETIMES these places are the better option.
This is true, and it is most unfortunate that in this day in age we must worry about such dreadful things. But answer this for me, would you want to live in an enclosure for most/all of your life? It is my life dread/goal to raise and tame a male lion so that he can live in my house. This is
sickening how belittled this lion is. This is worse than death.

You condradicted yourself IMO. You just said that you hate animals in cages, but then said you'd like one in your HOUSE?!? Isn't that worse?

i hate seeing such a beautiful creature locked up like that, there are non-violent ways of taming lions and other creatures.
