  • no metrolink

  • @operator458 You can usually still find those online or in hobby stores.

  • WHERE DO I GET ONE !!!!!!????? :(

  • @operator458 One what? If you want the Surfliner, its very hard to find. Especially since it is all brass. Best bet is to submit the idea for the Amtrak California cars to Walthers. I've done it and reading forums online, there are lots of other people who have too and hopefully if they get enough people expressing an interest in these models being made, plus the fact that the Superliner cars in the Surfliner paint all sold out, hopefully they'll make them!

  • now just add some private cars to go with that and it would look even more awesome ;)

  • Thats a nice set i have the Virginia Railway Express Set like The Metrolink

  • @gnair227 Awesome!!! I'd still like to get a set of the Coaster train cars to run also. They run in San Diego.

  • These trains do run on electricity, however they all use the DCC system, which basically puts power to the track all the time instead of only when you want the train to move, as in traditional train sets.

You can get trains (like the Metrolink) on-line or in a model train store. The Surfliner is much more difficult to find and has only been produced in brass, so its very rare.

  • awesome trains!

  • Thank you! I have one more that is also very rare that I have not made a video of yet. As soon as it has the DCC installed, I'll make a video of it.

  • great i'll be waiting! =)

  • A Caltrain would look nice with your trains.

  • Ha ha! Thanks! I'm not real familiar with where the Caltrain's run though, are they in northern california?

  • they are in the san francisco bay area running from san francisco to san jose

  • Oh, cool! Yeah, I actually bought my brother a set of the Amtrak California cars for the Capital Corridor, so the Caltrain would look awesome with that!

  • Hey, I have a recording of a P2 horn you could use when you get that decoder! P2's are what MetroStink uses.

  • No way!!!! That would be great!!!! Would you mind sending it to me, my brother is going to buy another decoder here soon, and that would be awesome! Thank you very much!

  • Where did you get the HO Metrolink?

  • We got it from a train store called Arnies in Westminster, CA. You can still find it online and at some online stores I think. I see them on ebay pretty often.

  • Try Milepost 38 in yorba linda/ Anaheim Canyon

  • That's one of my other favorites!!! Especially for DCC stuff. I had the decoder for my Surfliner Cab Car installed there and an SD70M. Great people and reasonable prices, plus a HUGE selection! But Arnies always has big discout tables and isn't quite as far away from my house. But I want to get some of the new coming Tower 55 models and I will definitely get them from Milepost 38. That's cool, you're the first person to even bring them up that I know of, other than me!! LOL!

  • I just bought a Dash 9 BNSF and 3 sets of 5 stacktrain from them.... I going to Buy Metrolink this weekend

  • That's cool! What kind of Dash 9 is it? Athearn, Atlas...? What kind of stacktrain do you get. I have a couple Athearn cars, but I want to get some of the Gunderson kind from A-Line. They look pretty cool, even though you have to assemble them, I think.

  • Atlas Dash 9 and TTX Kato stacktrain

  • That's cool, how do you like the Altas engines? I don't have any yet, but I've seen them and they look great. Is the sound good? I think my favorites are Kato's.

  • I like the detail on my NS and BNSF the best and the working head lights!!!! And my engines don't make sound maybe because there in N scale....

  • Yeah, they're very detailed models. You should see about getting sound though, I think they make some for N scale now. After getting it in HO scale, I'd never go back! LOL!

  • Why don't you get a Coaster? It Will go great with that Metro and Amtrak!!!!

  • I've actually been looking for one. The engines though aren't available and the cars aren't easy to find. Also, I live north of the area where they run, so unfortunately they weren't high on my priority list when they were readily available.

    Did you get your Metrolink?

  • Yes i got My N scale Metrolink and im going to make a video of it on put it on youtube.. I got it from a new train store i found in costa mesa..... "The Train Crossing" really cheap and good selection, Have u been there?

  • I think so. It's kind of cluttered though isn't it? Maybe not now, I know some of my friends get a lot of stuff there and they said that the son was trying to straighten it up a little.

  • Sort of cluttered but there son is starting to clean things up

  • I'll have to go and check it out again then. Do you remember what street its off of in Costa Mesa?

  • Baker Street about 2 miles west of the 55 freeway

  • Okay, thanks!

  • Nice video. Sorry I am commenting so late, but I am still tryong to get caught up with watching all these new videos. Hope to hear that Metrolink train with that Loksound decoder!!!

  • Yep, that's the next project!! Hopefully should be done here in the next month or two!!

  • cool .... still havnt made the dda40x :P

  • Ohhhh maaaan! That's right!! Okay, I'll place him downstairs with my stuff, and I'll take a vid of him this weekend! Thanks for the reminder!

It'll be here, I promise!!!! LOL!!

  • THANKS!
