Yes, the polar ice caps grow every winter from the summer melt. some years they grow back more than others. You can not look at a single data point. Think of the graph as a seesaw line line going downward. The overall trend is less and less ice even though there are peaks and valleys along the tread line. You need to read a book and avoid the 2 minute gotcha stuff. This stuff is complex and does not lend itself to simple arguments and attacks.

They haven't been getting any data from Bolivia for 20 years, so they get "Bolivia's" data from Peru. Fossil fuels were mostly made in the Carboniferous age.

If we burn fossil fuels and return carbon to atmospheric circulation while removing oxygen we should expect a hot humid climate favoring plants.

If we also cut down plants we know that dry desert conditions result. Turning the earth into a huge hot desert is not the path to take for sustainable comfortable life.

Scientific arguments are about how fast (not if) this is occurring.

A global problem needs a global solution.
