Hi! i just bought a M-audio 61es. But im having a hard time to set it up. I already did everything on the manual but it still doesn't work. When i press the keys, the sound doesn't come out. Do I have to download a music software or anything? Can anybody help me, pls? i will very appreciate that.
Hi, im buying this keyboard and i have NEVER used a keyboard before. Do you think it is a good choice and is the piano hard to play? Please reply as i am ordering soon! thank you.
@MrForreststarr Thanks for your questions! 1. You can go keyboard --> comp ---> amp if you want, but you can also go keyboard ----> sound module ---> amp.
2. The "Advanced Functions" are volume control and octave change buttons.
@songa50 I personally use Logic Pro. I do not know of any free software at the moment, but if you buy certain interfaces or keyboards, they come with extra basic software that works pretty well.
@princeicio Sorry for the long wait, I was having some slight difficulties getting on. But anyway, it is a midi controller for sure, and has no included software (as far as I am aware, they may have changed it). As far as speakers are concerned, if you use midi into a computer, the computer speakers are its output. Now whether you direct it to headphones or an amp from there, it doesn't matter. However, you can use this with a separate sound module, but then you will need to use its output.
U just have a Question it needs to be pluged to the pc to work or what?

my past keyboard just died a couple weeks ago and i'm looking for a replacement now.
only 2 questions:
1. just to be clear , to play though amps or external speakers of some sort you have to go (keyboard ----> comp. ----> amp)? there is no other option?
and 2. what are the "Advanced Functions"?
