  • all these guys are sayin' M270 and B 3/27 or MLRS and i have nooo idea what they talkin about... hahah. i was just sent here to see what a himar was. proves im a chick...

  • We just got 16 of these at my unit 181 field artillery Tennessee national guard

  • Does anyone know how long it takes a HIMAR to fire.? It looks like it can turn and shoot pretty quick.

  • Awesome Video

  • I wanted to see what my son does and this video is awesome

  • Awesome

  • There IS a lot of M270 MLRS is this video. Though put together well, you should credit the actual MLRS units and not make it APPEAR it is all 3/27 MLRS. I KNOW for a fact, some video belongs to 1/158th MLRS, 2/32nd MLRS/ATACMS, 1/27th MLRS and etc... how do I know? I was there, in a launcher, killing Tawakalna Republican Guard forces in Desert Storm: A/40th FA MLRS - 3rd Armored Division 'Deep Strike!' Visit the site I built for my Gulf War MLRS Brothers: A40deepstrike

  • @deepstrike1991 I apologize. there is ALOT of the M270 in this video. I made this video at the request of a couple of guys in my unit. I realize that alot of rocket jocky's out there put in alot of work to make STEEL RAIN work. My hat is off to those who are still in and to those I served with. MLRS/HIMARS. I served with the men in Korea A6/37 and at Fort Bragg B 3/27

  • Old School 13M, Was a Member of B 3/27 during Desert Shield and Desert Shield and Desert Storm, We outran the Cavalry and when the Republican Guard tried to hit us we dropped back 10 miles, and opened up a can of Whoop Ass. Fire for Effect, until we were running out of Rockets, The next day, we rolled into a new position and the war was over. Love to see the rockets streaming away at night, all 12 launchers within a 1 KM arc, Steel Rain.

  • I was in Charlie battery when we tested them, was HQ fdc for chralie with Ssg Vasquez, Sgt pope, Sgt dalton, toves, me, hell i remember changing charlie battery to Cobras from CENTAURS ROCK STEADY LOL

  • this is the job i took, enlisted. lookin forward to it, rough but rewarding

  • if i hear CIWS or goalkeeper going off then we are f''d. That's if it isn't already broken.

  • "COBRAS DEEP STRIKE" Whats up to all my C Battery friends. As we all know it was us who tested the first three and rolled the first one lol. This was a great video. My thoughts and prayers go out to Stets and his family may he rest in peace. For those of you watching this he was one of the first three crew chiefs of the XM1096 Model of the HIMARS and gave his life defending this great nation. Great video 3rd Fire. For those of you still in that remember me look me up on white pages

  • wic arty noob :)

  • Hello! I have a question for you military vehicles experts! Im trying to find the ""father"" to MLRS and HIMARS that you can see from old videos of WW2 I think. Looks like them in this video at 2.09-2.14. Pretty like a stock truck/lorry with rocketramp basically! Thanks for any help!

  • the vid is called HIMARS. but i se alot of MLRS as well..

    o well good vid

  • Have you heard of the Goalkkeeper close-in support system? This system is primarily used onboard ships but have the capability to 100% neutralise the threats from any HIMARS. It has a 99.9999 % hit rate on all the incoming rockets that were fired towards the vehicle-mounted goalkeeper system. The newer and more advanced systems would be using high-velocity laser gun to destroy the threats. Hope SAF could consider the systems for close-in support weapon systems.

  • "High-velocity laser"?

  • Similar to laser pointer except that the laser gun generate super high charged laser beam and fire it when ready in about 25 secs. It can penetrate and destroy everything. The US is the first country to mount a laser gun to defeat incoming ballastic missiles. To defeat aerial threats, laser guns are the best option.

  • @tkjun9 I dont think Goalkeeper can neutralize 600 cluster bomblets

  • How many crew do you need to operate this kind of weapon?

  • MLRS's, including HIMARS, have a crew of 3.

  • I have this same video on my channel a friend of mine who is in the army gave me a copy and i uploaded it a while ago i just saw yours is it cool for me to leave this video up or would you like for it to be taken down by the way it is an awesome video great music selection

  • 3:00 where can i find oryginal?

  • i was i n the unit that tested the first himar

  • thats my old unit lol WOW! i loved every minute of it STEEL RAIN

  • and get ready for some 1st sgt Orr pt... and get your dick stomped in the dirt

  • ladies and gentlemen... well for get the ladies for now... this is known 13Mike. Himars is just like the Slphs 1 but it has no tracks.. i am 13mike

  • WOW this is crazy! What branch of the Army do I have to join to do this Artillery or Air Defense Artillery?

  • Field Artillery

  • Cool! Thanks for the response.

  • its not air de fence. its called the High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems.. otherwise known as HIMARS.. and its the most advanced artillery the military has... its awesome job in garrison we dont do shit at fort bragg but wen we go down range.. well opsec.. make no mistake.. you make it here at your early stages of being a 13 m.. you have to prove your self to be in a launcher.. even as a driver.. much less a gunner or a chief. its alot of work man.. specially at bragg.bring your running shoes

  • can't wait to retrain for himars when we get back off deployment. looks cool.

  • buratino and iskander will prey on this scraps.

  • me to man,who was the platoon sgt?

  • I wouldn't want to fuck with a millitary that has this kind of firepower.

  • Hey all... was in B-3/27th most of the time I was an Ammo Dawg! Fort Bragg was great, the unit was shitty... didnt stay in the army because of this unit... a lot of people tell me that the army aint like 3/27 but God knows i didnt want to find out... sucked to be there for 3 years... bunch of incompetent nco and officers that make u do things the hardway just cause the wanna be rangers...

  • I was in HIMARS when it was just 3 of us. Good ole' days. I agree Bragg was great, not the unit

  • Nice, I spent a few years in 3/27FA, now I'm an MLRS Fire Direction Instructor at the NC Military Academy.

  • Give em up boyz, this t00l truely rocks the unforgiven hearts. Better to waste 'm @ distance and sleep in yur bunker...

  • I was in C3/27 like a month ago

  • i was in c-3/27 also.2000-2004 i miss the good friends i made not the unit.overall 3/27 sucked. detail after detail.the good soilders gave so much and got so little in return.i about laughed in dixons face when he asked me why i wasnt going to reup.for those stuck at 3/27 have fun.

  • That old fart still there? I was in A3/27 in 2004. Agree with you wholeheartedly, good people, shitty unit.

  • spent time in C-3/27 at fort bragg....MLRS sucks
