Great drummer, poor mix though. Too much boom not enough thump and attack. I'm guessing you went super heavy on the lows and didn't balance it with highs and mids?
@ggk4xlb91 thanks man! ya i didnt put in nearly enough highs. now looking back i think it sounds pretty bad. check out my newer vid. it got way out of synch when i uploaded it but i still think it shows the sounds of the mics alot better.
@joshuag94 like i said in the description, i didnt do any thing to it except for some compression. I just wanted people to hear the mics them selves without all the added stuff. I do plan on adding a video with EQ, compression, and some other stuff, but i havent had the time yet.
@EPICxXxHEADxXxBANG it doesnt do the mics any justice. It sounds like you had to much gain on mixing. and those pencil mics should be pointing downwards over the cymbals, panned left and right. secondly I know it might sound nice to hear alot of bass for once; however, it is over powering
@EPICxXxHEADxXxBANG Unfortunately, I haven't found a good mic set up vid. I think its really up to you to guess and check. This takes a long time but once you find the right spot, its gold. The same goes for EQ. There are so many things you can do to tweak your sound that it can cause trouble for those who are recording on a time frame. I've seen drummers around here settle when its not really what they want. I'll try and record some footage of my stuff. The only vid I have is a few years old.
