It's not making fun of ethnic groups. If you knew the language, then you'd see he's only making it up and improvising the entire dialog. He doesn't know a thing about Latvia and even made up a word "Krangas" that's used to describe everything. :P

Actually, the entire point of the sketch is to laugh at Harald Eia's improvisation and lack of knowledge, not Latvians themselves. The scenes are given at random and he had to invent the dialog on the spot as the bluescreen changes.

Yes, but that's not the point. He's not using actual Latvian people or any pictures or customs related to the country. All the actors are random people in Norway and none are wearing anything that might be seen as a pretend national garb or anything. They don't even say anything, he makes up their replies as he goes along. All the archive photos are just random people he's making up a background for.

If someone made a sketch about norway with completely incorrect things like we ride on icebears in the streets and something like that i wouldn't have feel offended.
