  • man! i enjoyed this professional soldering techniques video like a gourmet enjoys a dish of exquisite cuisine !!!!

  • dam i think i am gonna buy a set of dvds off this man Nojoke.. freaking amzing

  • this video's been made a fail thanks to the adverts!

  • damp sponges are a poor way to clean tips. use dry brass shavings.

it's good to shake off the excess solder after tinning the tip, so it is still a little wet and will connect and conduct better when you use it.

also, oxidation is not the stuff that forms on the iron tip... that is some form of oxide .. or rust .. oxidation is the process that creates it.

nasa have some nifty soldering lessons online too.

  • The advertisements that you refer to are to deter people from illegal use of these free reviews as a training tool. Far as we know, we are the only media training supplier in our industry to provide complete previews of every video program before you buy. Simply purchase the program, and you will be treated to higher-resolution video that is comment free! See our website for a complete product listing and more free reviews.

  • A good video, but the advertisements are too intrusive. Smaller banners would have been just as effective and not annoy users as much.

  • yay I'm going to go solder now

  • GOD-DAMN those advertisements are annoying.

Downrated because of them, regardless of how well the video explains the process.

  • I'm just starting to get interested in electronics and my father is an old pro at soldering, but he doesn't always do the best job of teaching and explaining this methods. I've spent hours in the past week watching and reading basic soldering tutorials. I must say--this one is the best I've come across.

  • I'm new at soldering, but whats the point of adding flux?

  • @KillerXtreme88

You either add flux from the core of the solder or with an external applicator. It is likely that you will use solder with a flux core.

  • Excellent quality. This is a top quality tutorial! IPC is # 1
