how do you stop them biting when they are young, so that they don't bite you when they are adults, I've heard that one way is to put your fist in their're mouth when they bite you the first time, I'm not sure if this is true but I was thinking of getting one and I don't want it to be ''cruel'' in a way of speaking
AH DOR A BLEEEE ADORABLE xD im getting my german shepherd pup in 2 days cant wait and i cant thnk of a name i was thinking James is that a good dog name ? o.O lol named after Lebron james i dont want to hear haters reply x]
@9INCHRICH All pure bred German Shepherds are highly intelligent and have erect ears. The prices vary depending on the breeder, and whether the parents have won any competitions.
when you teach the dog how to track does do you teach him different objects to find? or later on can you give him something to sniff and he will track it if he can smell it?
@201029 puppies grow at different rates. Don't worry, and don't over feed. Hope you're feeding him raw food. This is the best way to insure that they don't over eat. Good luck.
@rotkob hey man, thanks for you advice bcus i have a gsd smaller than yours and im feeding him to much, bcus trying to make him bigger, is that ok or i need to lower the food, cheers
@rotkob I don't necessarily think this is always a good idea as the shy and timid are often not confident within themselves which can lead to an anxious and unconfident dog.
WOW she is awsum!! u have a nice blk/tan GSD. she remind me of my gurl Faith. she is 9 months now and has a little red in her so who knows what color she will be like truly as she ages.
@andyEdward17 at 13 weeks old, she'd eat one or two chicken drum sticks two times a day. One good thing about feeding raw is that dogs never over eat. your dog will tell you how much it would like to eat. Just put the left over in the refrigerator for the next meal.
hai i am having 5 months old german shepherd it is always dirtying my lawn and inside the main the entrance of our house what should i do how i should train my dog
Some dogs have more prey drive than others. The ones who do, would want to chase anything that moves, and that could be unpleasant when they get bigger. Try this, instead of throwing a ball, throw a piece of hot dog and see if he'll get it. He probably would, then you can replace it by a ball after you swab with a a hot dog, so that it would smell like it.
@jaytabz my gsd was liek that if u just recentley got hiom its cuz hes still exploruing everything.. if uv had himm for a while what i did was grab one of his favorite toys and hold it ur hand run slowley with it to get him rowled up so he wants it then toss it.. but donnt throw it far cuz theyll loose intrest easily
@Thepeefer94 i know.. i think ur right! so he loves this bone thing right! and i threw it and he just brought it baack to me! and ever since he started fetching! i was like!! yesss!!! finally!! lol i was so happy coz it looked so cool when a gsd race against a toy poodle to fetch! hahah
hahha see im glad my advice helpedd... mine still wont bring it back tho lol he will run up to me like ehs bing it back and when i go to grab it he runs with it and jukes me out lmao
When you see the puppy in the act of pooping/peeing inside the house, carry it and say NO several times, and take it where it supposed to do it outside.
It doesn't work, if the puppy had an accident already, you're just have to let it go. Clean the accident with vinegar and water to get rid of the smell.
You have to watch the puppy at all times inside the house and take it outside to relieve itself every two hours or less.
alsoo if u see pee or poop on the ground and didnt catch him in the act do not yell o scold him ebcause he will not knwo what your yelling at him for and will get confused.. only yell when u cathc him in the act
6 weeks is too early to take a puppy home. A good breeder shouldn't have let that happen. The earliest should be 8 weeks. That's the time puppies learn bite inhibition and proper behavior from their mom and litter mates.

Puppies will do anything for food. Start with fetching few feet away and give a prize immediately. I used to give mine small bits of hot dog.

Good question:
I threw the phone for her to fetch.
I then let the phone ring while she's fetching it.
The next step is to put the phone close to her and call it and ask her to fetch it.
The last step is to just do what you see in the video.
rotkob 3 years ago
Hey do you glue your german shephers ear to stick up or do you tape it
ThepheanomUndertaker 2 years ago
No taping. The earls stood up by themselves.
