@YayOrNay That is the dry slipper clutch every ducati has. This makes the italian bikes sound special. Some people call this rattle as if it is going to break down. But this distincts the ducati from the japanese brands.

ya done well making your 1098 look like a 1098R Bayliss edition. pipes sound good but i'll stick with the 70mm Termignoni system that came with my 1098R Bayliss mate. Good enough for me.

i hate ducatis..and v-twins in general they always sound like their dying and that dry clutch..wtf...

the 1098 is the only ducati that is attractive

The Akrapovic system i like it more than termis and i become more horse power with the complete system(power commander) i have with them realy 162 hp on the rear weehl!!

Correct me if I am wrong but where the dampener bolts to the frame on a 1098r is different then a normal 1098. The 1098r does not have the part welded that hangs off of the frame instead it has a bolt and a mount so in case of a crash the bolt breaks and does not bend the frame.

I do not see this part being differant then a normal 1098. Thus the frame you have on this bike is a 1098s or standard 1098.

I only know this as I have a 1098 and know someone with a 1098r.
