This is not a song I'm familiar with but what a performance! I will definitely be seeking out more of this bands videos. My thanks to Max for sharing with me.
This is, in my opinion, first class bluegrass, both instrumentally and vocally. Thanks. I'll be listening to more of your stuff. Thanks to Max for sharing with me.
This had the hairs standing up.to applaud. A trilogy of spirited musicians beautiful solos and impeccable harmonies. I'm glad I was not in the audience, to many strangers would have caught me blubbing at the end. I think you can say I liked this!
hey you know good music, im subscribing to you.. dont let me down! :) Furnace mountain is one of the best things goin, daves sweet fiddle, morgans powerful rhythmic bouzouki and aimee's voice makes me fly high as a bird. Wish they played more gigs as FM, but ill also take em with the woodshedders anyday too!
great job.. I love this song so much! check out my version I'm recording it right now :) I can't sing for shit but please comment on my wretched-ness anyways!
Yes, just search for Furnace Mountain Band and you will find several more videos of them from myself and others. Morgan's bouzouki playing is great, isn't it?
hey this is great. i'd only heard the dylan version before this, i never knew it was an old folk song. and that bassist's voice reminds me of joanna newsom, for some reason.
Aimee! How I've missed this voice.

Great rendition of this classic. I first heard it as Dink's Blues, sung by Barbara Dane. Thanks to Max for passing this on.

Your passion-driven treatment of this bona fide chestnut is simply dynamic in every aspect from vocals to sterling-quality instrumentation!!!

It's an American Slave song.
These folks are keeping it alive in the American Tradition.
