to Chazzoli... yes it is true... but, even then romanians reprezented the majority, with 57,3% according to the magyar census. hungarians represented 25,5%. Nagyvarad, may have been mostly hungarian.. even now there are around 40% hungaryans there. but, this was the situation in almoust all the cityes in Transylvania, beacause for many centuries romanians were not allowed to settle there. that's why they lived mostly in the countryside or outside the city wals.
I understand your point, but the thing is, areas round Nagyvárad lie alongside the Hungarian border so could easily have been kept in Hungary.
I think the best option for Transylvania proper should've been independence. That would've come closest to satisfying Hungarians, Romanians and Germans.

to Chazzoli...you may me right, that region may have been kept by Hungary, but I can say the same thing about some villages in Hungary, wich in 1920 were inhabitted mostly by romanians. The idea is that a state has only aproximately the same borders as the teritory inhabited by a nation.

Looking at an ehnic map, the teritory inhabited mostly by hungarians is not as large sa you say it is. It is a swathe from Oradea (not from Arad) to Satu Mare. And that swathe is not continuous.

What I'm saying here, is that those territories were lost almost a hundred years ago and there's no way that we'll get them back again. Especially not with such a weak military as we have and us being members of such organizations as NATO en the EU. Yes but when it was given to Romanian in 1920 the figure was much lower. Also the areas round Nagyvárad shown in the video were almost entirely Hungarian and should've stayed in Hungary.

to Chazzoli... yes it is true... but, even then romanians reprezented the majority, with 57,3% according to the magyar census. hungarians represented 25,5%. Nagyvarad, may have been mostly hungarian.. even now there are around 40% hungaryans there. but, this was the situation in almoust all the cityes in Transylvania, beacause for many centuries romanians were not allowed to settle there. that's why they lived mostly in the countryside or outside the city wals.

I understand your point, but the thing is, areas round Nagyvárad lie alongside the Hungarian border so could easily have been kept in Hungary.
I think the best option for Transylvania proper should've been independence. That would've come closest to satisfying Hungarians, Romanians and Germans.

to Chazzoli...you may me right, that region may have been kept by Hungary, but I can say the same thing about some villages in Hungary, wich in 1920 were inhabitted mostly by romanians. The idea is that a state has only aproximately the same borders as the teritory inhabited by a nation.

What villages? One? Two? Look on an ethnic map and you'll see that virtually All Romanian inhabited area were handed over to Romania in 1920, you guys made sure of that. Hungary was left almost entirely Magyar.
Yet a huge swathe of Romania along the border from Arad to Satu Mare with cities like Nagyvárad was Magyar.

Looking at an ehnic map, the teritory inhabited mostly by hungarians is not as large sa you say it is. It is a swathe from Oradea (not from Arad) to Satu Mare. And that swathe is not continuous.

The propaganda that you attack so zealously "timidtom" is history! It is our pride, and the reason for that because we were able to regain parts of our state that we had unjustly lost. There is nothing wrong with respecting who and what we were, and some of us still are. Not talibans, not terrorists but ppl who dream of a better Hungary.

Since WW1 when your WEAK country joined the allied forces coz they saw that they will loose.Waht a trater nation and they did the same in WW2..

Sometimes "treachery" can be wiser than loyalty. Italians, Romanians and other nations who were changing their minds when the tides were turning have no reason to be proud of what they did during WW2. But super-loyal Hungarians, Litvanians and Croatians will never be forgotten by jews and other persecuted minorities,ever, promise!

But for a reason. Read about the circumstances of deportation of the hungarian jews right till the very last months of the war...and about the naivity of their democratic leader right after the war..

What I'm saying is: hungarian nationalism (naively enforced by emperess "Sissi") was part of the reasons for the demise of the K&K Empire. Hungarian radical leftist ideas was part of the reasons for them being invaded from, all sides after the war ending in trianon.
