The more I listen to Confessions the more I find it such a classy album. It totally grows on you. Personally I find melodically the songs are not as brilliant as her earlier hits (like her genius stuff with Patrick Leonard), but the merit of the album is that it's so coherent from beginning to end, with a superb flow to it, and the lyrics are so sincere and authentic and personal.

Push was a great track- I doubt this could have replaced it and I think the right decision was made. Perhaps something like 'Like it or Not' could have been replaced with 'fighting spirit'. Madonna's best album however in my opinion. Wish Hard Candy had have lived up to the standard set by Confessions.

On Push, I find the lyrics annoying. I think Like It Or Not is better, but neither of them are outstanding. I wouldn't have objected to ending the album with Isaac. It would still have ten tracks and be 45 minutes long, and it would end with the biggest (and IMO best) song.

I think it'll be a while before anything this good comes from anyone again.
