But I have to say, I really love this song. Its very rough, very bluesy and has meaning.

That is one great song. I love the 60's feel to it, also, the black and white video goes so well with it. To top it off, Duffy is very pretty. I like her Brigitte Bardot look.

Yeah, but you're talking about people who copied (or tried to copy) contemporary stuff. The Beatles covered the Shirelles and Smokey Robinson, who were making groundbreaking records at the same time as the Beatles were. Duffy sounds like she made this record forty-five years ago, and she and her team have deliberately made it in a style which was state of the art then but which is now just pastiche. Like I said, it's nice but why does it have to sound like it was made before I was born?
