YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HUNGARIAN HISTORY. First of all Horthy wasn't a nazi, but Szalasi was, and it was a short 4 years.yes it was terrible too, but it was destroyed, and hungarian people saved a lots of jewish people. Just ask our polish friends here.

We Americans urged Hungary to arise and claim freedom, promising aid; they took us at our word. Even the Soviets fled, expecting NATO troops to enter Hungary. They wanted to avoid war. But that chickenshit Eisenhower betrayed Hungary, somehow snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. And it was the Hungarians who paid the bloody butcher's bill. Only Austria behaved honorably; they were not powerful enough to aid Hungary militarily, but at least they sheltered many refugees, in the aftermath.

Europe was divided into two after the WW2 by the Allies. The war started after the russians and germans divided europe into two with the molotow ribbentrop pact.

All happened as planned only the us and gb took the place of germans. No good for small countries like hungary, left on the east side, we all suffered because of the decisions of those empires.
