I have 2 UAW cars, a Saturn and a Focus that get around 30 mpg. I may be doing more for the global environment by keeping these cars going for as long as possible than this sanctimonious "Prius liberal". Real liberals support REAL wealth creators in THIS country, not NON UNION foreign brands or foreign cars wastefully shipped via petroleum fueled tankers half way around the world. BTW, the Chevy Volt gets better mileage, is made in Detroit, and was engineered predominately BY AMERICAN WOMEN!

Ha, prius owners are the biggest bunch of fart sniffing teabaggers ive ever seen and the real kicker is they think thier saving the planet but what they dont think about is how the prius battery does more harm during its production than the savings in greenhouse gases from fule economy makes up for. They should change the name to pious.

We all know what this whole deal is all about, rain in a Global carbon tax so the globalist can enslave not only Americans but the rest of the planet. Yeah 80% of all carbon taxes will be paid by the United States and they will be taking that tax money and giving it to the loser 3rd world non producing nations as payment for ruining the environment which is bullshit. Hello Prius owners ... just as much of the planet has to be paved over to make space for you as a Hummer owner .... Electric train technology dates back to the 90s ... that's 1890s and uses a fraction of the space and energy than used by a Prius.
