You can get diabolo's with an axle that isn't fixed,

half the axle spins which reduces friction between string and axle (or stick and axle) and allows the diabolo to spin basically forever ;]

I have pulled off grinds for about 5 minutes without any movement whatsoever using this technology.. it's quite fun

This also allows you to actually catch the diabolo in between your fingers with it spinning ;)

You probably know this but hey nice vid and technique!

I've lost to 22minutes and 10seconds with twenty people watching it in diabolo convention so i'd say that's the most. I've heard about longer ones but who counts. You can basically continue it as long as you want to....

Basically you just throw it up a from the other end of the stick to other and then let it slide back. Just like getting speed on string, just a little harder. Some diabolos are better than others. Wide axles are the way to go.

i'm going to beat the world record on 13,25 mins. i've got 10 mins at my school.i'm going to go for 20 in my grinding vid i'm going to post soon... and is it cheating with one-way-bearing-diabolos in the grinding record?. i grind with sundia sun diabolos... btw nice vid

Actually we have official competitions about this. Current official measured was witnessed by 30 people in diabolo convention. 20mins 15secs if i remember correctly. We have this kid who did an hour grind. Not sure if he used sundia fly with bearing. To be the best you should do more than that. With normal probably more than the 20mins. But i think you should do the same that we are doing, moving to records with 2d grind simultaniously.

But it's true the 13,25mins is the longest video available. YouTube accepts only 10mins so remember to fast forward some bits of it. ;)

Yea you're true my friend. The video was made when everyone didn't know that it's infinitive, which made it great. When jugglers say it's infinitive they mean it works for a while. I would definitely want to see infinitive suicide done for 30mins, just because it's hard to do that long. Speed adds all the time and it gets harder.

Still, if you check how many comments i'm getting for my two grind videos. You'll see that lot's of people just can't actually grind... ;)

Actually infinite suicide is pretty easy to keep going, however after about 5mins my arm gets tired loool.

Now that is a sign that you have found the essence of "infinitive" suicide. It's the exact same thing for grinding and anything for where you repeat it long. After about 10mins muscles get little sore and you start to lose your concentration on the job at hands. Now that's a good struggle.

And now i could say all back to you. Rofl, you act like its actually a "record" or hard thing to do infinitive for 5mins, everybody can do that ;)

:D nah, tried that in last diabolo convention with everybody. It certainly wasn't my thing. But like two diabolo grinding would be a way to go, for 5-6mins. ;)

Lol, Not very fun tbh, trying to do mini records which no1 cares about, you shuld try to make up a new 2 diabolo trick - now that would be impressive. i've been trying to learn a duicide for 2 diabolos for ages, its tough lol

Could argue lot about grind being popular. Check out my first grind video. It has over 8000 views and it's still getting more clicks than any of my other videos some of which actually include good tricks (obviously not all done my me).

I feel that 2 diabolo is little boring since the technique limits you too much. The amount of work needed to get some good tricks performance stable is huge. Of course there are the easy tricks some of which are too easy.

Try to do the duicide from double sprinkler (normal, second reverse). The stick positions will be easier to predict and the whole trick just looks harder that normal duicide since the sticks go in different directions. That helps a lot. If didn't get it from my explanation, ask for video i think we got it somewhere... ;) If that is what you have done already keep up the good work my friend.

En ole varma. Ainakin saksalaisilla levennyksillä pystyy niillä olen testannut. Eli jos hankkii tuon saman kitin mitä tässä käytän niin sen saa myös finesse versiona. Sillä toimii varmasti, ehkä myös peruslevennykselläkin. En ole testannut ihan kaikkea.

hehe, onhan tuo mahdollista eikä edes niin älyttömän vaikeaa. Toisilla välineillä onnistuu helpommin kuin toisilla. Suomen diaboloseuran skaboissa tullaan varmasti näkemään vielä pidempiä grindejä :)
