As a British person this resonates with me too. We haven't got a single constitution per se, but we do have a collection of laws (many of them the basis for US law/constitution - e.g. the Magna Carter) that are being eroded and basically fucked by Blair & co.

Or wow, this guy is smart: even though as a Christian I believe as in Romans that 'there is no authority except that which God has established', he certaintly knows the American Constitution well! But ya, I don't agree with his views on everything, but hey, the guy is original and at least he explains the fact that the US is a Cons. Republic!

this was just a short clip, he does say that in his classes. Says it right in the Declaration, "endowed by our creator" the thing he was saying about hearts is that we have to be the ones who are upholding it, not the other way around

I believe the best way to preserve liberty, as it is right now, is to add a mandatory, detailed class to all public schools to teach about the constitution, and what it allows.

It would be far better to get rid of public (government funded) schools altogether. The Constitution does not provide for a taxpayer funded education. Education is the responsibility of parents, not the government.

This guy totally "gets it", in the deepest sense possible. Why this guys class is not packed, I don't know.... but it should be. It is time to start de-programming the citizens who have been taught to have a subserviant attitude over the last few decades. They have been taught that leviathan is in charge, and that you must obey leviathans every legal dictate, no matter how at odds it is with liberty and the Constitution. Time for this attitude to change.

oh yah, and voting does put you in "rebellion" ... so habeas corpus can be suspended... you are not "voting" in the system our founding fathers created, you are voting for a de facto system created after the civil war by the 14 amendment section2 . read it... its a diffrent representation... its not the original 1787... we've been fooled!

As a British person this resonates with me too. We haven't got a single constitution per se, but we do have a collection of laws (many of them the basis for US law/constitution - e.g. the Magna Carter) that are being eroded and basically fucked by Blair & co.
Irrespective of a constitution, Badnarik's point stands: Those in power only have the power we give them. We only have the liberty we are prepared to fight for.

The President of the United States has the power to suspend our rights through congress as stated by the constitution. "The privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it". Wouldn't it be absolutely wonderful if this guy got elected? I really believe that we will see the government taken back by the people in our lifetime. One by one, if we ignore the media and their Republican/Democrat game and think for ourselves we can achieve this dream. I was frustrated at one point, but I believe that things are beginning to change. God I hope so. It will be a beautiful world.

Americans will stop falling for the failed two party system that is spoon-fed to them by the mainstream media. Right now corporations and special interest groups like Wal-Mart, Planned Parenthood, the NRA, and NPR, Fox News, and CBS decide who wins elections. We are buying into it to our detriment. I long for the day when we realize that we are in control, and that the Constitution is read and understood by everyone, and we enforce it's principles and defend it with the power of our vote.

I embedded this in my blog. I don't care what party he's with, he gets it. What I wouldn't give for a government full of people who understand that the constitution doesn't give us our rights - we're born with them. The Constitution limits the powers of government to make sure they don't interfere with our rights. Somebody needs to sit Bush down and make him watch this video a few hundred times.

Actually, the constitution does not permit slavery. The constitioun says that every man is equal. By abolishing slavery the american people took courage as he says and upheld the constitution, by reading it correctly, enforcing the implication that every man also means every race of man. It just took about 100 years before it got there.
However, the constitution doesn't say anything about WOMEN being equal, so women should all be slaves!

You can watch a 7-hour class, online, for free, in which he explains, in *very* easy-to-understand language, the most important details of our Constitution.
