  • Wonderful stuff! Jarndyce so unselfish to the end. Love him, but Esther was meant for Woodcourt. @enjoyutube2Thanks for the painstaking time it would have taken upload all 43 parts of this. I enjoyed every minute! Bravo! :-)

  • And even her pockmarks disappeared without a trace just in time for the happy ending :)

  • does anybody know what song is played at the end?

  • What an English epic! Loved Guppy and Lady D. Gillian Anderson is amazing. .

  • "Come, Skimpole doesn't even matter anymore, my love . . . only us."

  • I would have chosen mr. Jarndyce any day!

  • Thank you so much for posting!

  • i'm hugely disappointed to see Skimpole's still alive by the end

  • @kc0793 I can't agree more! He ought to repay the inheritance too so maybe Richard would be spurred to recover. Where's the poetic justice?

  • I don't know whether to hate or love the poster of this series. I've spent two entire nights watching it when I should have been doing my legal studies essay. Thank you anyway. I'm a sucker when it comes to these types of films :P

  • Love this music.

  • I loved the music at the end scene with everyone dancing, it fitted really well and was uplifting and happy :)

  • Oh look! There's the french maid dancing with Mr. Smallweed! And Ada dancing with Guppy! Oh look, the friend maid is "shaking up" Mr. Smallweed! Oh crud, I think she just severed his spine! So much for her parole. Oh wait, that's my alternate ending I'm watching! Haha! No really, great series, although I would have liked to see the scene where Esther and Alan got engaged. I never understand why movies skip that!

  • Thank you for posting this series. Wonderful to watch, spectrum of emotions, day in avoiding typhoon

  • sad to see this end thank you so much enjoyu..this gave me laughs, sadness, happiness and so nice to find series where everyone isn't hopping into the sack every few minutes but have morals ,charm ,heart and yes evilness too Dickens is timeless, many lessons to learn and what a wonderful ending visual.btw.could Birdlady and Bucket have something going on there?;)

  • Thank you for posting the series. It's quite different to the book in many respects, but lovely all the same.

  • Dickens at his best, IMO. Bleak House is chock full of odd characters Love 'em or hate 'em, there's bound to be someone we relate to - human nature is timeless - and for that reason Dickens will be read 100 years from now.

A wonderful series. Thank you so much for uploading it.

  • Woodcourt is my most absolute favorite male character in literature! Mr. Darcy doesn't compare... sigh.

  • I'm sooooooooooooooooo happy! thank so much. I really enjoyed this series.

  • Love the music to end this wonderful series, any idea who it is??

  • And just who invited Skimpole to this wedding?!! Esther must have allowed it as a favor to Jarndyce.

  • @newbeequilter - He probably snuck in.

  • Thank you!!!!!!! I absolutely loved this movie! :)

  • i loved it. very good show. I cant help wishing she'd of ended up with mr. jarndyce though. just a few years younger and he would of been perfect:)

  • thanks so much for uploading, loved it

  • thank you truly enjoyed it!

  • Greetings from Canada. I can't thank you enough for the time and effort you put in, in uploading this entire series. Watched the whole thing in three day! My house is a mess but so be it. It was worth it.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! It helped me survive my exams :)

  • Overall great adaptation of the novel. I particularly like the music in this scene- I wonder if it has a name...

  • Thanks for uploading! I have added to my playlist collection of classic literature tv adaptations!

  • She was really about to attack skimpole.....lol

  • A terrific Bleak House; thanks again enjoyutube2. Wonderful that you posted this long, wonderful series.

  • thankyou sooo much for posting!! i'll definately be reading/watching more of dickens's work. its so ahead of its time and appealing to the modern audiance. even if you dont like period dramas, u cant say that this is boring!

  • What a wonderful story! I have enjoyed this so much - thank you for the post, enjoyutube2!

  • Thank you !!!!!!!!!

  • I love the scene at the wedding when Woodcourt holds back Esther from confronting Skimpole and kisses her so sweet. Currently reading the Novel plan to evetually finish.

  • the final kiss was not so professional. And that's kind of good - doest spoil the innocent image of the girl

  • I like they way they talk in those days...proper sentences. I wish we still talk this way now.

  • @harchiongkai

Why don't you start by re-writing your sentence using proper grammar and correct tenses, then? It would go a long way towards making what you wish come true, I assure you.

  • @woodselpen suck it dipshit.

    How's that for improper grammar.

  • @harchiongkai

Very much in character, I imagine.

  • I finished the novel and now I've finished this. They didn't change the ending too much, but I feel like the way they changed certain revelations likewise changed many relationships to not be as meaningful. But then trying to take any 900 page novel to the screen is a mighty effort, and I certainly appreciate and enjoy what they did manage with it.

Also: goddamn Skimpole! At least he dies a few years after this. Good riddance. (oops, was that out loud?)

  • I'm simultaneously overjoyed and dismayed at the ending.

Thank you so much for posting this series!! It means so much :) It was truly a pleasure!

  • I missed this when it aired years ago but thanks to you I was able to watch this wonderful movie. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • i really enjoyed the series and will get it on amazon soon. thanks for uploading! :]

  • Thanks so much for uploading, I've seen the trailers for this for a while and wanted to see this series. The story is so great incredibly intricate.

  • Many thanks for uploading this series. I never red this book and I am such delighted! Everything is wonderful. Thanks again!

  • Thank you for uploading! I had no problems at all and I really enjoyed watching. All the best to you!

    "Judy shake me up!" heheheheh!

  • I thoroughly enjoyed watching this series. It almost makes me want to finish the novel. Almost, but not quite.

  • and so jarndice and jarndice was no more... lol

why did they have to kill of her mother? she was so lovely.

honestly, all that fighting and money wasted over more money. no one really gave a crap, so why did they all bother in the first place? if i were them, i would've just divided up the estate to those who were genuine claimants on the estate of Jarndice&Jarndice.

for other dickens+period movie lovers, check out little dorrit, posted by MISSLORELY. a v. famous dickns story, hard 2 get.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this series.

  • Thank you so much for posting this series! :)

  • Thank you for uploading, I really enjoyed it!

  • Thanks a million for the upload! I've been starving for Dickens lately and this has tided me over very nicely until I can get my hands on another of his books.:-)

  • Fantastic Guppy and Tolkenhorn are my favourite actors. What wonderful performances. The background music added to the Victorian atmosphere. Sincere thanks for uploading this series.

  • I wonder how can a girl see a man as a father figure and then as a husband and then back to God knows what???

  • Caddy is supposed to be dead! GAH! Why BBC? Why? Why must you alter Dickens???

    And Guppy? Argh! *dispairs*

Though, to be fair, twas a great 'adaption' all the same. Though I do think Dickens would be rolling in his grave whilst Charlotte Bronté (sic) would be clapping merrily along in her coffin and writing a cutting letter to her editor. ;p

  • L O V E ly Mr Jarndice, God bless him (men like him that exist in real life)

  • YAY Esther and Woodcourt together at last! Thank you so much for uploading this truly wonderful miniseries! Not as good as Little Dorrit (2008), but excellent nevertheless. :)

  • Wonderful, thank you so much for uploading! Glad it had a happy ending, although I was sad for Mr. Jarndyce. Don't know how Skimpole got invited to the wedding--obviously Esther didn't want him there! :^)

  • @gertrudewhite I think we should be happy for him. He saw sense, saw what was real, did the right thing and released himself from a life of guilt over a selfish act that did not suit him.

  • I don't know why I pay SKY as I haven't watched it for weeks as I've been enjoying your downloads. Bleak House was wonderful. Thank you.

  • How selfless was Mr. Jarndyce!! If only he would have been a little younger! He would have made a wonderful husband!!

  • @AlaneMichelle i completely agree! he is so adorable, hes funny and cuddly! oh jarndyce!

  • @AlaneMichelle Well, he is Wedge Antilles after all.

  • great series! the end seemed a bit rushed to me, but still very nice. Thanks so much for uploading, you've made me need to read the book! hahaha

    Thanks very much!

  • Thank you for taking the time to upload. I'm reading the book which is wonderful, but quite long. Still a great cautionary tale about a lawsuit consuming one's life! Will probably watch again!

  • Thanks a lot for the upload, I loved it, and that last scene is so cheerful, it was a nice touch

  • Truly a wonderful series! THKS FOR UPLOADING-MUCH APPRECIATED
