  • Without a doubt, a beautiful song. I want this to be played at my wedding, someday.

Not to mention the lead singer and backup singers are very pretty. Kind of look like two princesses and a queen.

  • As a Pagan Rock band, Speak for the Trees is Blessedly inspired!

  • Blackmore´s Night took money for the cancelled concert in Svihov castle.

Two weeks the promoter tried to contact BN to agree on compensation of the concert to their fans. Using the tickets from Svihov for the next concert was suggested. BN manager didn´t respond to e-mails and ignored phone calls although the full payment for the concert had been on BN bank account and all advance invoices of the providers´ had been paid.

  • @Pesakar Per BN's website, due to a lightning storm at the time of the concert, with high winds and heavy rains, the promoter cancelled the 14 August concert in Svihov, to protect the safety of the fans, artist and the crew...

  • @Pesakar ..." Blackmore's Night would be happy to return to the Czech Republic to perform in Prague, in Svihov or in Cesky Krumlov, and we believe that the fans with tickets from the 14 August 2011 Svihov concert should not be charged any additional fees if they produce ticket stubs from the cancelled event. We are requesting that the promoter, Bulldozer, should arrange this new concert for the summer of 2012. Our fans are very important to us-and we hope to see you all in 2012".

  • You are so lucky to have seen them in concert! I would love to attend one of their concerts some day--go all-out and dress in Medieval garb! Just a wonderful duo; with Blackmore's guitar, those fantastic lyrics and Candice's voice! This song makes me want to make merry and dance in a nightime wood!

  • @FantasticMrBerg but then you wouldn't get hear all 60s-90s pro music oo, and probaly die of something simple

  • @FantasticMrBerg Peaceful for England and France during the The Hundred Years' War was a conflict lasting 116 years. Lutherans' split with the Church in 1517, and the subsequent division of Catholicism into Lutheranism, Calvinism, and Anabaptism, also made for peaceful times. Peaceful for one if accused of witchery, Trial by ordeal is a judicial practice by which the guilt or innocence of the accused is determined by subjecting them to a painful task. If the king wanted your wife...Peaceful?

  • @FantasticMrBerg I didnt remove your comment. Don't really understand where your coming from. Be it was just fantasy talk over actual historical circumstance or if you didn't know. Don't know why my comment aggravated you. May your challis never empty of wine, may your fire never go out, may your legs never tire of dancing. Be well.

  • @picco1971 Over 40!...

  • @BlackCrowNavajo right.....The first time I heard Blackmoore at age 10, from my brother's room

  • I found this CD in our local Library, I couldn't believe iof that is Ritchie - I took it home with deep suspicions, and I became a lover of this music and CD. I copied to anopther disk and play every time in my car as well.

  • @tiborvivi

You copied from a library CD ?

    THIEF!!

  • @QueenReigns1 idiot. I copied for myself. What should i do? Steal from library? Some ppl just fucking around behind the computer...

  • @tiborvivi

So..you copied for yourself..is that not theft?

Yes it is..you are stealing from the artist..they make money from sales..did you not know that?

You cannot justify it..it's theft and you are a thief.

  • @QueenReigns1 Oh God, i copied a whole lot of music from CDs. I am multiple a thief. Call NObama on me!

  • @QueenReigns1 In actuality, according to Section 107, Terms of Fair Use, of the U.S. Copyright Act of 1976, it is perfectly permissible to copy and use/post copyrighted material if the purpose is education and/or commentary -- NOT stealing. I love Blackmore's Night as my favorite band and buy their albums, but have no issue with people using Youtube to generate commentary and inform/educate people on this band's existence and work.

  • @shadowolfblue

Well thanks for that info perry mason...I'm pretty sure he didn't copy it for educational purposes, just home use..so it's theft.

  • @QueenReigns1 Thanks for the reply, and I intend no offense with my commentary, but it is commonly understood anything posted into YouTube is open for commentary, and thus should fall under the terms of fair use, according to legal definition. I am not saying your'e wrong, but am saying it is not our place to judge the motivations of anyone posting. You sound like an intelligent individual and I always welcome intelligent insight, even debate. Thanks again.

  • Simply magical :)

  • I'm a dedicated MetalHead , but this sounds awesome

    blackmore never dissapoints

    folk rock !!!

  • So for all these old parasites and "former fans" of Ritchie Blackmore, it is insulting that such creativity with intelligence and artistic depth was being listened by such unworthy audience who have been mindlessly playing air guitar to "Man on the Silver Mountain" and "Sixteenth Century Greensleeves" without really understanding the essence of Ritchie Blackmore's music. I love rock/metal but it is because of idiots like these, I no longer desire to call myself as "metalhead".

  • And you cannot really claim that you had deep appreciation for Ritchie Blackmore's music without deeply understanding his rock music(with classical element) and Medieval/Renaissance concepts that he used. What he did with Blackmore's Night was just reincarnating his musical and conceptual roots into another music that happen to fits very well. If you didn't get that, that indicates that you have been listening to Blackmore's NOISE rather than his MUSIC all these times.

  • And it is this root from Rainbow's concept, Dio was able to darken such Medieval/Renaissance themes with sorcery and dragons under the banner of "Power Metal". Not only was Ritchie Blackmore musically creative but he was(and still is) very conceptual with his music and anyone who cared to listen beyond what is merely electric guitar sound will get it that even from the time of Rainbow, Ritchie Blackmore was strongly inclined toward Medieval/Renaissance themes.

  • Some of old parasites always babble with the fact how Ritchie "changed". But if we look into the actual root of Ritchie Blackmore's music(especially with Rainbow), he always had basis of classical element. This isn't simply because of material like "Difficult To Cure" but lots of his composition had basis of classical music and its theory. Such foundation also became root for some of Medieval/Renaissance themes and concepts that Ritchie explored interchangeably.

  • are they wiccans just wondering

  • There's nothing as good as the old traditional folk music. Being a musician influented by Deep Purple amongst others I also turned into Folkrock and therefor carries the greatest respect for Richie and Candice. Bless to all!

  • Has anyone noticed that by the time she sings the first verse, the melody sounds like "Gilligan's Island?"

  • What's the name of the singer?

  • @ArcaneMage54k Candice Night, that's where the second half of "Blackmore's Night" comes from.

  • @tsnap4 Thanks a lot ;)

  • Every time I listen to this performance, I realize how wonderful it is. I think it's great that Richie and Candace don't hog the spotlight; they let the violinist and keyboarder have their moments, too. I love this.

  • This music is like a time machine it makes my feel in the medieval times :) i wish close my eyes and appear there i do hate this ages xDDD

  • @magugreech I know exactly what you feel like

  • The Bass player looks more like Ritchie than Ritchie does ...

  • haha at 1:42 he would be executed for dancing

  • If you're wondering what this sound is...it's clearly Celtic. Like an East Coast kitchen party in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

  • Richie used to rock!!! :(

  • @moroney88 he might have used to rock but he still makes ears bleed from his orgamic solos

  • two words only: wonderful!!!!!!!!

  • Rap must drive Blackmore nuts!

  • pure gothic music :) (A) awww ......way to go gothical music

  • Bella:))

  • MEDIEVAL ROCK!

  • Great song!!! Brings such memories!! will always remember it! from Bulgaria

  • cool

  • Does anyone know where and when this concert video was shot?---I can't find a decent live recording of "Locked within the crystal ball"

  • You can not compare the Blackmore's Night with Deep Pourple. Blackmore's Night is Folcker Rock Renaissance, with strong influence of Renaissence. Deep Pourple is Hard Rock. Okay that was Ritchmoore Deep Pourple, and it is undeniable that Richmore feels great next to the band and Candice, more.

  • I'll be singing this all summer long <3 I love Blackmore's Night.

  • Candice canta muito bonito!! Adoro a voz dela

  • Denne sangen er helt fantastisk og elsker stemmen hennes. Hilsen fra Norway !!!

  • I'm glad I stumbled upon this, found a new favorite band

  • just amazing i love this song

  • Real english woman. Beautiful but, an englich beauty is kinda boring and non-emotional.

  • @pirivod4ick its more like understated (emotionally) i could never understand this really lol:)

  • @pirivod4ick shes american

  • Folk music can be so beautiful in its simplicity. And these are such talented musicians. Ritchie is wonderful on the guitar.

  • @shannon1234550 What they do there is rather Disneylandish. But if only one young blood out of a thousand gets interested in folk music by this, folk music won´t die.

  • Seconded, anaquiias. Seconded.

  • We need blackmore's night in brazil ._.

  • very nice.

now i will rape my neighbour´s doughter under a violent moon!!11

  • @generalhans1 you spelled Neighbor wrong

  • @Thiefenz

I AM VERY SORRY YOU STUPID FUCK!

    NEIGHBOR IS AMERICAN ENGLISCH!

    NEIGHBOUR IS BRITISH ENGLISH!

    YOU FAILED AT LIFE!

  • @generalhans1 I didn't expect to be berated for something so trivial, especially since there were far worse problems in that comment other than proper spelling.

  • @Thiefenz

    i am so sorry......not

  • @generalhans1 And you failed at "Englisch".

  • ritchie is a lucky one... xD

  • Candice Night featuring Richtchie Blackmore - they are both the greatest.

  • Candice Lauren Night (the wife) is wonderful!

    Вокал просто прелесть!

Белки/Стрелки/и прочие Блестящие... et cetera...просто отдыхают!!!

  • great performance logmensclub.blogspot.com/

  • great performance

  • haha the orchus between the chorus just make me think about small elves stomping out at the nights ;)

  • Fuck YouTube programming telling me what to do ( or what to watch) fuck the related video of everything else.

  • Candice Night has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard!!!

  • I wanna fuck the background singers.

  • Imagine you are iving ina 15th century, let me say you are a duke or something like that :)

you have your own castle with a lot of people who loves you and who you love and care about

    a perfect dream ...

  • @rainsongalone when i imagine myself in the medieval times i always imagine myself with a gypsy family or something like, dancing and singind around the fire in the night xD

  • @aomrocks "singind (sic) around the fire in the night"... lol, "fires at midnight"? great song...

Richie and Candice are all good.

I wish I could have Internet, my HP Pavilion in the Medieval Age... I also like imagining myself living amongs those folks in that time ...

  • @aomrocks me too i think i'm born in the wrong era.

  • @aomrocks Gypsy is disrespectful, it is Roma.

  • @aomrocks I dream of dancing with rotting teeth (no toothpaste) in the clothes I had been wearing for days (that's how it was), while watching people drop from the Black Plague. I'm not worried about the Black Plague because I'm holy, the Plague is not due to rat infestation, but from God's wrath on the sinners. After getting all sweaty, I wash in cold water with lye (no soap then). Now that's how to live, damn, we missed it.

  • @ccatdaddy64 Well aren't you a huge buzz kill. Let us have our fun. No sarcastic comments needed it just makes you look like a dick

  • @ccatdaddy64

    You miserable twat..piss off!!

  • kúvajó

  • I don't want to talk bs, but it looks a helluvalot like the venue I saw them... somewhere not too far from Dusseldorf, Germany. Any takers?

  • ritchie blackmore is a GOD!

  • love it!

  • It's amazing once you see them in concert, Candice and Ritchie put on a good show, and really enjoy performing together. Amazing when a band is out to perform and not worry about ticket sales.

  • I love this stuff and am glad he went in this direction

  • Everytime I think of Ritchie Blackmore I think of Rainbow, I'm not saying this is bad but it's not the same. This is still good =)

  • why are 3 candice night???¡¡¡¡¡¡ 0:21

  • @vicrock12 Those are the sisters of the moon if I remember ^_^

  • @1bloodlover sisters of the moon?...hahah and candice is the moon?

  • @vicrock12 Not really. She's more beautiful than the moon. But I do remember Candice saying that they are the Sister of the moon at some point in the concert (I have it home on DVD). And wikipedia confirms : Sisters of the Moon: Lady Madeline and Lady Nancy (Madeline and Nancy Posner) - backing vocals

  • @1bloodlover wow ... this is so interesting ... I love this kind of music, although the last few years has been lost. But, we must support these artists so that real music back to the hearts of all ... thanks for the reply friend

  • bah... que tri!

  • WOW, I had only heard one song of theirs, a long time ago. For some reason that song popped into my head, then heard this. AWESOME BAND

  • merci o grand maitre!!! longue vie a toi pour tant de moments de bonheur auditif

  • This is written by the man who also wrote Kill the king and Man on the silver mountain.

    A big :' ) for you.

  • Candace Knight=Stevie Nicks???

  • Very Good!!!

  • Most lovely song!

  • you can say you can tell the mood of a musician when a piece is wrote, looks like Richie Blackmore was quite simply having the time of his life when he wrote this one!! it is simply brilliant

  • This is not Rock´n Roll !!!! Ritchies Rock´n Roll was over when Rainbow splitt 1997....

  • Comment removed

  • @dpcoverdale Thats my wife youre talking about watch your mouth and besides Im the one that said that not her

  • @dpcoverdale grow up shit head!

  • @wireboy100

    Fuck you !!!

  • I am a huge fan of Blackmore's Night, love all of their music, I use to work at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire so I have met some bands already I was a bard there for a year but had to move to another location so I could not get a ride there no more long distance so I know they have some albulms there they sell thats where I first heard about them.

  • Sounds Like a Medieval Age Song, I LIKE IT!

  • Blessed Be!!!

  • tender voice and tender flesh indeed

  • That Richie knows how to pick young lolitas of the most exquisite caliber and ending up being his wife.

  • this was the best set up of the band

  • I'm just stunned. Fantastic!!!

  • What a lame crowd. >_>

  • When i see candice night how jealous i am of richie she is SIMPLY beautiful lady as is there music.

  • @TheBazman111 you jealous a man who's son is 7 years older than his wife! you're crazy!

  • Candice is beautiful!

  • God Ritchie is a god

  • love this song

  • This song is the song that got me into Blackmore's Night <3 Makes me dance every time I listen to it

  • HALLO TO BOB AND THE

GIRLS MADELINE AND NACY FOR ME WE MISS THEM

  • Candice Night is truly a faery queen... it's only a show of how amazing Blackmore's Night really is, that they have so much fun while they perform and still sound flawless. Truly beautiful!

  • 1:43 Keyboard player looks gay lol

  • @braido

Maybe he is, does it make a difference to you ?

Shame your biased little brain couldn't think of anything more constructive to type.

  • @theyorkshirewhites lol heres a troll to feed :)

  • @braido

I'm not feeding you, that's your mummy's job.

  • please come to singapore!

  • Candice Night has an EXTRAORDINARY voice! Probably one of the top ten most underrated female vocalists in the world! Too bad Ritchie's talent is wasted by his rhythm strumming. It's like handing Leonardo DaVinci a gallon of paint and a power sprayer and asking him to paint the side of a barn.

  • DP and Rainbow are 100 times better :(

  • @nikolabathory It depends, my friend: sometimes a man makes a choice that repeating the same fast solos year by year are not the only thing to express your musical ideas...it may be that master Blackmore was in for a new path, be it whether you like that or not...I can certainly respect his choice (though I also love to hear it!).
