@djlyric it is not a bay, it is a sound however. and also that is my point exactly. the bay has unsorted rocks because there was a glacier. but the glacier stopped halfway through long island. not dropping and pebbles on the south shore. so be have a geologily diverse island. Unsorted rocs of metamorphic to the north. and sorted sand on the south

i am in Greenwich CT and fish off of Tod's Point and we can see NY across the sound went fishing for Stripers 2day and yesterday, what's a good beach/surf fishing rod and reel combo? $50-100?
