  • Wow, the ad before listening to this song was a full song by another artist.

  • to dislike this is a bit like disliking having an orgasm

  • i just came down.......im clicking replay and now im going back up, see u guys later

  • Replay, replay, replay!

  • the ding sound is the best part of the song.

  • wtf thom u r bettr

  • @CiaranLuke Yeah I know, he is better than Jesus Christ.

  • Now that's an influental song. One day I was running to the university and I was about to arrive a bit late and therefore really annoy my old grumpy professor, but then, suddenly, right in my headphones, I heard Thom singing "idiot, slow down!". I was like "mmkay" and finished didn't showing up there at all. ;D

  • @TheMusicDude1997 Lateralus by Tool :D

  • The triangle note has made my day. I can only think of one song that can top this one.

  • @longshot71691 what song ? D:DD::DD

  • That "ding" right at the end, the most perfect ending to any album I have ever heard !

  • music to commit suicide to.

  • @Sage80 fuck you

  • perfect end to a perfect album.

  • insane song

  • My favorite song on the album. So beautiful.

  • just kind of - dont scream at me for saying this anyone lol - but this one kind of reminds me of jeff buckley's stuff :)

  • @falcon15ism thom loved buckley he even covered i sing a song for you

  • @prjctcivilian thanks i didnt know that! and it explains why their music holds similarities :)

  • cant imagine there ever being a better album created

  • @Interstate08 in rainbows :s

  • I love the end of this album is just a single ting on a triangle. A whole album about acting like robots and technology ruling our world and the last note is a one of the simplest instruments on the planet.

  • Like Pink Floyd's "Fat Old Sun" played live, vast expanses are covered. A sonic tapestry torn loose to spite the long maculated splayed skeletal hand of time. A perfect forgery, it feels like childhood as it lives on in the lost grey recesses of a 9mm frosted past.

  • @occams99 you do too much acid or are trying way too hard to be poetic and failing

  • @prjctcivilian

Perhaps so but I respond to you with a quote from Anton Chekhov:

"One must be a god to be able to tell successes from failures without making a mistake."

  • @occams99 its tru but if know one told you how would you ever learn to progress so you should say thank you

  • @prjctcivilian I digress. Thank you. I feel I owe you so here I go. Capitalize the first word of a sentence. This is universal in most written forms of language. Your syntax suggests that you place a comma after the misspelled word "tru". This also applies following "you". In between, it's "no", not "know". To avoid awkwardly phrasing your point, place a period after "progress" and then, and only then, suggest the notion of "thanks".

  • @occams99 you are wasting your time... now your being smug

  • @prjctcivilian Your examples have wasted time.

  • IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDIIIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

  • i feel like i'm in an airport at 1 am.

  • The end of this album feels like im falling, very slowly, and happy about it. Amazing finish to one of the best albums ever created. masterpiece.

  • Me likes this song.

  • Sounds like Pink Floyd

  • @LostRed33 I have to disagree. Nothing sounds like pink floyd and, like wise, nothing sounds like Radiohead. Both amazing bands tho :)

  • @RetroRifleGuitarist2 Exactly.

  • Best. Album. Ever.

  • The pace of the song doesn't make me feel like im going too fast in space, but im in space nonetheless. Which is awesone...

  • @The1Liner Agreed. I feel like the purpose of the song is to bring people into this state so that they can realize how easily the quality of life can just be thrown away by rushing through things (ie. always being stressed and working). Just a thought.

  • @The1Liner But if you we're travelling at the speed of light, time will have slowed down.

  • Yep nah this is the one aye

  • One of the best songs on the album, one of the best songs of all time. :D

  • I LOVE THIS ALBUM MAN!!

  • wheres my weed?

  • OK Computer is pretty much one of the best (if not THE best) albums out there. Radiohead is AWESOME!

  • This sounds good sitting by a lake in the cold misty dawn.

  • @joepubic89 I love Pink Floyd and LIKE Radiohead....wtf? lol

  • @joepubic89 Yeah same here. Well I wouldn't say I hate Pink Floyd, but their music does nothing for me. I don't understand why everyone compares Radiohead to them, because the two bands really aren't that similar.

  • @aRubberSoul They compare them together because they don't know much about music, Radiohead in Pop music is more artistic than many other Pop bands as was Pink Floyd when compared to other bands that were extremely famous in their time. Pink Floyd's early albums were Progressive Rock and then with Dark Side of the Moon that begin traveling a more melodic path, which is how they achieved fame. Problem explained.

  • @aRubberSoul

People compare the two because of the innovative chill way of incorporating sound effects... but more likely so because of the albums Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall. In those albums are critiques of the music industry, the upper class, politicians, celebrity lifestyles, and themes of isolation....like Radiohead.

  • @Samdaman5098 I don't care

  • songs I do't like from this album: fitter happier, electioneering

  • @takovarra Noone Cares.

  • @takovarra What? Electioneering is amazing.

  • @Hfsm33 the most fun one i think, like i could rock out without thinking

  • @takovarra welll fitter happier is a given, though i would choose this song as my other least favorite if i had to, melancholier than the others

  • @takovarra Oh I love "Fitter Happier" it's amazing. "Electioneering" is a great song but it kinda breaks the flow of the album. It should be a single and on a compilation or something.

  • @MyBeautifulZygote Electioneering would've been a better fit on Kid A. It would've added to the "apocalyptic" feel of the album.

  • @shadow1dx Yeah, but musically it probably wouldn't have worked there either...In Rainbows it might have worked.

  • @shadow1dx no

  • @Schizima NO U

  • 1997 ok computer que gratos recuerdos!!!!

  • this is an amazing vocal

  • Great song.

  • This is completely beautiful, Jonny Greenwood and the rest of the band are freaking genius!

  • radiohead always makes me feel underwater. sleeping sometimes, and others screaming..it's like a caress that can burn you..i don't know it's just fucking amazing...most songs anyways. I wish i could express myself like that.. jasus...with an A

  • @sarouelala If you can read it, I believe you could convey it as well. This is just a profit-oriented self-explosion. Its not intended to dry out the universe.

  • @cadaveresquisito hã? não entendi o que pretendias dizer

  • @sarouelala with Kid A?

  • @FacultyBob jesus wit an A = Jasus, it's a stupid interjection i like to use when i feel overwhelmed, no offence to believers in Jesus.

  • Everytime I hear this song I always picture my self driving on that album cover highway. I don't know where it is but I want to drive on it someday listening to this song at full volume. Jesus couldn't write a song this good.

  • @blakiecakes419

It would be difficult for somebody who is dead to write a song.

  • @DigfootsBick It would be difficult for someone who doesn't exist to write a song.

  • @Froggywonod Agreed.

  • @Froggywonod DISagreed

  • @blakiecakes419 It's not a particular highway, it's just any highway in the whole world, it looks like any other ordinary highway, just portorayed with blue streaks going everywhere (signifying just a blur of every car that's driving on it) and that's the point really

  • Beautiful trippy song.

  • The Tourist was written by Jonny, who, explains Thom, was "in a beautiful square in France on a sunny day, and watching all theses American tourists being wheeled around, frantically trying to see everything in 10 minutes." Jonny was shocked at how these people could be in a place so beautiful and so special and not realize it because they weren't taking the time to just stop and look around. - from Green Plastic

  • @dubconcrete Us Americans enjoy our short vacations to alien places, and europe is nothing like america so it's hard for us to stop and stare when we could just go look at everything "important". I suppose beauty is in the eye of beholder in that sense, and america has an eye for tourist attractions

  • Radiohead's too cool to end with a bang. They end with a ding.

  • @FretsonFireMuse it's the sound of a microwave dinger going off. earlier lyrics reference microwave dinners

  • great to hear Thom's vocals right at the foreground, hate how they are hidden amonst all the atmos on Amnesiac, Kid A etc, this is brilliant, just as songs like Street Spirit and Scatterbrain are...

  • This song feels so Pink Floyd to me.

  • esta bien viajada no tiene madre!!!

  • just great

  • this song puts me at peace, it makes me feel so tranquil.

  • great song

  • ahh gorgeous.....:)

  • did you not enjoy it at the time though bro? don't ruin it for everyone else.

  • This song fits so perfectly to the time we are living...

    Hey, man... slow down.

And it was written more than ten years ago.

  • @PrintNameHere amen amen amen youre my kind of people

  • lmao, ignorance is funny

  • i know, these people think Yorke is a "hack..." He's a genius. I don't understand how he could be a hack.

  • @koimaster I agree, ignorange is really funny thing...

  • Its beautiful

  • People like to talk intellectually about the music because - I dont know - they have a fucking brain?

As for your 'climate change lies'.

    Scientists lie eh?

Like they lie about vaccines and evolution?

Fuck off you anti-science troll, get off your computer (brought to you by science) and go back to the stone age where you belong!

  • @Friday9951

I like to talk intellectually about music too, but he has got a point, it isn't necessary at all. I hope you listen to the music because it's good not because it's clever..

by the way, I do belive in climate change but scientist lie too, and science is build on theories that can't be proven, we just know it works.

  • PS. reliancemaster, what the fuck do you know about the people who has posted on youtube, if you listen to the songs you might learn about something that affects your life, you might actually get smarter

And how do you know that the climate change is a lie? because you heard it from a different scientist than the usual? you dont know shit

  • @Friday9951

of course scientists lie, just as anyone else lies, but it is not logical to assume that scientists are *always* lying. now of course, like any group of intellectuals, or even any group of human beings that are mentally active at at least the most basic of levels will dissent. now with those points aside, why should one even accept the information presented as truth? it was retrieved using morally questionable methods, so why assume that the factual integrity was not tampered with?

  • They asked me where the hell I'm going at thousand feet per second...

This song makes me feel like I'm going really fast and really slow at the same time.... You don't see that often

  • shrooms do the trick :p

  • maybe , but i dont take drugs.

  • song for the silly low rent tourists in my way on the way work here in nyc lol

  • thanx commienihilist XD

  • holy shit.

  • I feel like im traveling across the universe when im listening to this.... Traveling at the speed of light

Heeeey maaan slooow dooown! slooow dooown!!

  • @Matr64 read the lyrics to the song...

  • @Matr64 IDIOOOOOOT SLOOOOOW DOWWWWWWWN!!!!

  • @Matr64

You have no idea how perfect it is that you say that... Currently, I'm writing a synopsis of a lecture that I'm going to be giving to high school students regarding the wonders and fascinations of special and general relativity. Thank you for posting what you did because I felt like this song was connecting perfectly with my mind while I was writing that synopsis. Amazing.

  • @Matr64 traveling like a Tourist !

  • sleep deprived!!

  • hey man. slow down. slow down.

    idiot. slow down. slow down.

    i love that part.

  • I used to not like radiohead.... but this is brilliant.

  • mmm

  • Thom Yorke's voice in this song is Masterful!!!!!!!!!

  • lol at the very end

  • why the hell would it be funny???

  • the bell i think is what he's talkinga bout.
