u can cheat by dampening the strings with something. gets rid of all that unwanted sound. Then as you get more precise you can take it off. otherwise i worship you:D

please give some advice, i got the tempo and the speed in the left hand, i can play this perfectly with fingers, but when i do it with my thumb , hurts like hell, really, the skin of my thumb is falling apart, i got a lot of wounds, but please tell me what i am doing wrong?. its supposed to hurt for a while, or i have to do it whith my thumb nail?, i have to slap the string or pluck it with the thumb. tnx a lot and you rule man , great job!

i know what you mean with yamahas i bought the RBX 170 (which i think is the one hhe is using as well) and it is shit for slapping but is not bad i have owned worse instruments EG an Encore P Bass :D

John Myung from Dream Theatre does not seem to think there is any problem with the Yamaha RBX series. For the money, the RBX is arguably one of the best beginner basses there is. I have owned 2, of the older RBX with the 4-inline headstock. I do have to say, though, the OLDER RBX basses were MUCH better built than the new ones. It seems as if now Yamaha is trying to reduce costs by using crappier hardware and woods. Still, I agree, you are too good for an RBX! Glad to know you have upgraded! :)

Not perfect no but GOD DAMN! This song is NOT easy to learn, I know, but remember, Wooten built this up for years until it was finally recorded.

They didn't build Rome in a day bud, keep it up it'll get better, at least you have more than the info, unlike others here.
