I'm going into my first autumn without cross-country in four years. This really makes me miss it; the pain, the sacrifice, the brotherhood. My team was essentially my family. I already miss the screaming from both sides of the chute, the gags and vomiting that happen after the finish. When you're there it terrifies you, but you don't care. Cross-country draws the best people. Our hearts are in the right place.

So I'm from a school that only has 49 cross country runners. I was in the Freshman race and we only have 8 of them. We faced york, and we came in 4th, they came in second. This only proves to me that its not power in numbers.

Wow, this looks like a pretty dumb movie. I run varsity cross-country and this does not interest me one bit. Mostly because i get annoyed by people who have such amazing talent, but have no work ethic and are still somehow faster than me.

that's just how it goes, i easily work twice as hard as some of the guys on my team but i'm short and i just don't have the ability to keep up with the guys who come in with real talent.

@Doommonkey143 the shortest kid on our team was running 20 minute 5ks as a freshmen, he came back this year as a sophmore, made varsity, and is now running sub 17s. being short isnt an excuse
